DEWALT XR Cordless Compact Router DCW600B - Brushless, 20V, Tool Only

I was looking for a good quality compact cordless router and had the choice between this one and the Makita DRT50ZX4 as I use both manufacturers products. After watching several reviews on YouTube I decided on this one. It's extremely powerful for it's size, very easy to adjust the depth with great precision, it's also very quiet in use, and very good ergonomics. I use a router almost every day in my job and was getting a little fed up with dragging out an extension cord every time I needed to do a small job. So far this compact router has exceeded my expectations and I find that I grab this one before any other router that I own (Bosch, Porter Cable, Skill). The run time with a 5 or 6 AH battery is excellent, the balance is very good even with the bigger batteries, and I really appreciate the very effective electric brake. All in all, a great router for a reasonable price. My only gripe is that it doesn't come with a dust extractor or edge guide like the Makita does.

Have been wanting this item awhile but couldn't justify $249.00 When I saw it on a Flash Deal for $124.00 it was a no brainer. Excellent Item at a great price

I finally got to use this router. This tool performed beyond my expectations. It is easy to handle, provided one holds a firm grip. Great tool. This one has power to handle your needs.

It's been 20 something years since I bought a router. My Milwaukee is steel going strong But, it has a cord. This new Dewalt router works excellent. The real thing is. Mobility! Thanks Dewalt.

With the plunge base this has become a "goto" tool. Far less stressful than a full size 3HP router. But do note if you are making custom jigs for it the standard base IS NOT the same dimension as the plunge base. So if you need the plunge capability you cant 'wing it' with the normal base on it. Adjustability is decent and power is good enough with a 2ah battery with the added advantage of being light weight.

Powerful router very light and battery last good amount of time. Easy control because of the size. Great power level and lightness!

I'm a fan of DeWalt tools and this one doesn't disappoint. Solid build quality; gets the job done.

I own about everything that DeWalt makes, tool wise, and was expecting the same quality as the drills, saws, etc. but this "feels" flimsy in use.

When my husband got it out of the box, it had a rattling piece in the bottom. I'm going to try to return unfortunately.

I have stage 4 lung cancer and getting around isn't that easy for me. I ordered the router and the seller marked it as shipped but did not ship the item according to ups with the tracking number they had provided. The item was past due and still not in the hands of ups. I initiated a refund and the money was returned before the item had shipped. I ordered a completely different router from another seller. This company sent the router out anyway and charged me again saying I would now have to return the item. I called customer service and asked how we could resolve this. I explained what was going on. The customer service rep said not to worry I can keep the router and my money would be refunded. I was surprised and told him I just wanted the money back. Again he said I could keep the router and I would be refunded. No refund. I contacted support 2 other times and was told the same thing. I have the names and ticket numbers from the calls. The fourth call I asked to speak with a supervisor because at this point they are just trying to get off the phone. The supervisor said I would have to return the router and I only have so many days left or it would be too late. He stated it did not matter what I was told previously. I explained the situation to him. And said it did not matter I would have to return the item to ups. I am on pain medication and cannot drive. I don't have the ability to just run around and return an item that shouldn't have been shipped after the refund had been issued. This company is crooked and shipped the item so they could go ahead and charge anyway. I'm sure they get away with it more than people return items. Do not buy from this 3rd party seller. And be careful buying anything from Walmart online because when it comes to support you can't get In Touch with Walmart and they really don't care about the situation.
