Kids had a lot of fun playing with this. It came with almost everything you need to do the experiments. The volcano was super fun. Once you put the cap on, it really spurts so you may want to do this one outside. Also, vinegar is not included (FYI). In fact, all of the experiments can get pretty messy, so be forewarned—the kids loved them though :)

This has truly kept the kids busy all in one box. My husband and kids (7 and 8) made a volcano and digging for gems. This kept them busy for days. You will need baking soda and vinger for the volcano, lucky we had some.

My 5 yr old grandson loved this item. He has been doing projects everyday. It was perfect for home schooling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has asked for a science experiment kit for quite some time, now. This is the perfect starter kit, for a child his age. Not too “childish” but not extreme and dangerous, either. He absolutely loves it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The science experiments in this kit are great. I have three kids ages 3, 5, and 8. Even though the box says 8 and up, all three really enjoyed the experiments with some help from me. The volcano was the favorite followed by the crystals. They enjoyed the gems too but they were a bit disappointed in how small they were. This was a great kit and would make a good gift for almost any kid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Kids Science Ultimate Experiment Kit a few weeks ago. It has most of the stuff you need for 3 types of experiments. Slime, digging for gems, and a volcano. You will have to use a few household items but most of what you need is in the box. My little girl is 6 years old, and she has had so much fun with this so far. The slime activity was a lot of fun for her. Plus she learned how something can be a liquid and a solid at the same time. The rock experiment was a lot of fun for her to. It took her a while but she had a lot of fun digging for those gems. She has not done the volcano yet, I will update the review after she does it, but I know she will love it. They have a premise plastic volcano in the kit so all you have to do is pour in the ingredients. It could definitely be used more than once.

The volcano definitely solicited the best response by my 8 year old son, because the first attempt failed, and I don't think he was expecting it to work. The slime was the only disappointment, as it wasn't slime as much as it was a dry, gel-like substance. Hard to explain, but definitely not slime. Overall, I'd recommend this. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get pictures while we did it, because things got a little bit messy.
