Took 3 every morning before food and 3 every evening before dinner. Have been taking 600mg daily for 2 weeks. Stomach feels uncomfortable after taking the pills but is better after some food. Feels energised but still waiting for some effect on my neuropathy.

R-Lipoic acid is the more bio available form of Alpha-Lipoic Acid. It is a great antioxidant but the price/quantity ratio of this form is a bit out of balance. That is why I only give four stars. The regular Doctor's Best Alpha-Lipoic Acid is price-wise a better choice.

I have bought this bottle because R-Lipoic Acid seems to be better (more bioavailable) than ALA and although I have not tried this one a lot, when I do I feel like my throat is a bit itchy and perhaps that's the reaction to the R-Lipoic Acid. I am yet to use it more often, specially for a specific purpose I bought this for which I have not had a chance to experiment with yet.
