The wheels are sturdy and they give you a nice edge. I've been using them on wood, plastic, aluminum and other materials for a few different projects. I am pleased with how they are working out and the extended range of the wheel has made it easier to get into more detail.

just what I was looking for.

I had a pile of parts made on a 3D printer that needed rework to remove staircase artifacts and dimension adjustments to make them fit together. Some of the carving is into square corners. After trying several tools, the one that worked best was a predecessor of the 115 cutter that I found in my father's Dremel tool set, more than 60 years old. After wearing out that cutter, I needed a replacent and found the 115, which is same style and slightly larger than the old one. Mounted in a brand new 4000 handpiece, its performance is outstanding, shaving and shaping ABS plastic like butter.

Junk didn't work at all just ruined the piece of wood I was carving

New style cutter (cutting edge straight up & down) does not work well at all for precise depth cuts in wood {{ ie. hinges , strike plates}. If depth is already cut then this one works for widening the area but not to get a level depth cut. The old style #115 had cutting edge in a spiral, I had used that style for years and never had a problem doing both cuts. Recommend old style YES Recommend new style NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
