it's been wonderful ☺️ i love it
I like it, it is very comfortable to work with the dremell moto saw. It is portable I can take it anywhere. It is light in weight. I recommend it 100%. Delivers super fast
This precision scroll saw is easy to set up, easy to use, and packs away for easy storage. I use it to cut thin plywood mounting jigs, and it negotiates the tightest curves and turns easily. Highly recommended!
I absolutely love it. One thing I especially like is it cuts on the downstroke. My scroll saw cuts on the up stroke, which means the wood wants to lift up and I have to constantly hold it down. I dont have that problem with the moto saw. I make miniature furniture for doll houses, and it's perfect for that. I also make jewelry, and it cuts thin metal too. An all around great little tool. Oh yea, it's portable too. Another great feature. Wish I would've had it years ago.
I love this thing. It's not overwhelming, although I admit, buying a contraption like a saw freaked me out at first, but this thing works so well and is easy/non-scary to use especially if you are not used to using mechanical things like this. It works really well to make dollhouse furniture and also is good for fret work (like for a victorian). One of the best parts is the work space under the saw--plenty big when you are working on miniature furniture. Also good for other craft work. Love how it clamps on most any table. Very cool addition to my dollhouse work tools.
Very useful tool for small work projects but the amount of vibration is overwhelming. The use of a rubber base does help diminish the vibration.
so i bought this for my husband for Christmas %26 he had me just return it. he already has a scroll saw but this one i thought was more compact %26 its dremel brand what could be bad with it?! well this saw only supports dremel brand blades. and like most men my husband is partial to the blades he's found along the way %26 they are significantly cheaper than the dremel blades. thats all i can say about this item as we never opened it or anything!
I received this saw for Christmas. I spent all day building a doll closet for my daughter. The saw works beautifully. I can cut at any angle and move the wood around as I need to. My only complaint is that it does not come with the parallel guide attachment that would make cutting straight easier. It comes with the saw in Europe models, but unavailable in the U.S. I would rather have that then the vacuum attachment. At least make it available to purchase Dremel....
"Instruction manual" woefully lacking. I would definitely NOT recommend this for anyone's first scroll saw. If you never had a scroll saw, you WILL have trouble putting a saw blade in. Absolutely horrible drop foot button to release tension to raise the drop foot, with no help in the "instructions" as well as no ribbing on the button to help push it. The mounting areas are plastic- how long will they last before they break? Saw was recommended to me by a fellow scratchbuilder but I wish I had spent about the same money and gotten a regular, real, scroll saw. Time will tell how this will go, but first impressions were very frustrating because of the very poor "instructions" and the very poor ergonomic design of the saw fitting into the base, and especially the horrible drop foot "release" button. Nice case Dremel, but invest some money into improving the instructions and the setup, operation- the drop foot specifically. Consumers should NOT have to resort to YouTube videos to see what the "instruction manual" should show.
I bought this thinking I could cut 1/16 thick aluminum to make various custom RC car parts but I have yet to find a way. no matter how slow and careful I work the blade snaps before I've cut much more than an inch or so. Not at all satisfied, it was supposed to cut metal. 1/16 aluminum is thin and pretty soft.
