I love the milk chocolate flavor of this brownie mix because it is so tasty. I buy this brand because it does not have bioengineered ingredients. I quit buying eggs when the price when up so high. I used unsweetened applesauce as substitute and this works fine.
This is a reliable pantry standby brownie mix that you can bake as directed without adding any frills or add nuts, chips, shredded coconut, cinnamon, add maple syrup to the water, etc. Sky's the limit; use this as a base and then get creative, but remember to adjust the baking time.
You won't be disappointed. I like the texture and taste. I put walnuts in my brownies. This is the only brand I use.
These are excellent brownies. I make them according to he package directions. I add about 50-60 chocolate chips to the pan before putting them intohe oven. Using the back of a fork, tap the chocolate chips making sure they are below the top of the batter before baking at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. These are just the best brownies. They are moist and delicious. Can't beat them for $1.28 a box. By far the best brownies available for this price.
We really like this brownie mix and I was actually looking for it online to add it to my cart. Unfortunately, it says stores only. What I like about this particular brownie mix is that it comes out just right, the way we like brownie mix's. I don't like a mushy gooey brownie. Some brownie mix's turn out way too gooey and way to rich. The Duncan Hines milk chocolate brand mix is just right for us. I add a tad less oil than it suggests. It mix''s well and I usually add some walnut pieces. It works really well for adding items such as walnuts, pecans, and even various candy type pieces. Altho I have brownie pans, I tend to bake this in a cast iron square skillet pan...I reduce baking time by a few minutes. Wish they sold this one online.
Great! Try substituting sour cream for the water, adding 1 cup chopped walnuts, 1 cup chocolate chips, 1 tsp. Vanilla. Bake as usual.
A pantry staple at our house. Always have a box on hand for a quick dessert or snack. Duncan Hines is a quality product and produces tasty brownies. I use a copper baking pan with the sections, and each one comes out easily-no cutting.
Our community donates these to a community food bank for delivery around Thanksgiving to lower income folks. The brownies are one of the favorites.
cooking this right now!! it's been cooking for 40 minutes!! that recipe is weird. 1/2 a cup of oil seemed excessive and it was. It tasted okay but you literally have to cut the cooked parts off and let the liquid middle cook some more. All together it took over an hour and a half to make these and all I have is a tupperware container full of brownie pieces to show for it.
These don to taste anything like chocolate brownies. They do have the brownie texture but the flavor is weird, it is not milk chicken. Will never buy this brand again.
