Works extremely well, I actually had the larger unit by them and it was too hot. This is perfect for 1-2 people on porch. Or if you have insulated curtains on your balcony like I do you be comfortable with as many people as you can fit on the balcony. I only turned it up past low when it dropped below freezing. And with modest use of a 1-3 hours a day I get at least a weeks worth of use if I use it 3hrs a day. And when I have mixed usage like an hour one day 3hr another it's lasted me up to two weeks. Definitely a good investment if you enjoy sitting on your porch. I did have one issue where it would ignite. But it wasn't a problem the valve chamber was flooded from me either leaving the propane turned on after I turned off the heater. Or it sat too long without me using it. My guess was a little of both. But I just undid a couple of bolts and pressure released and a little propane came out of the valve (on the heater not the tank. I feel like that's obvious but just wanna state that. Also, this only did happen once and if you do have to do this just remember to disconnect it from your propane tank first.)
I would highly recommend this for medium size areas. We live in a camper and it is perfect. Installation is super easy for those times it runs out in the middle of the night. Quick switch over. Very easy to operate and the price is do-able.
This heater puts out a lot of heat and has different settings. Cheapest price at Walmart for the exact same heater. You do need to light it with a match or lighter.
This is a camping style propane heater that screws into the tank nozzle. Does not have a piezoelectric spark igniter. For the price, it does exactly what I need.
The heater must have been in stock at local Walmart or at nearby warehouse.. item delivered within several hours. Free shipping too.Beats amazon that's for sure.
Works as it should. My only issue is with a safety feature they are now required to put on them, the button you have to hold to light it. As soon as that button gets weak, they won't stay on.
The infrared makes it feel warmer than open flame so will feel warm even before air warms up. Make sure heed warning about standing behind when lighting as can get a bloom of flame.
I thought I could use the item in my home it is not for use in home so I'm going to have to return it
Seconds after lighting, flames shot several feet straight up. Had to smother the flame to put out fire. Brace was difficult to align as was the connection to tank.
I followed the instructions for lighting the unit to the letter. The unit failed to ignite on every attempt. I finally boxed the unit back up. This was a very disappointing purchase. 😞
