It was actually hard finding these anywhere else. Once I found them on Walmart.com for a great price, I ordered right away. My mom would always buy these when I was young and they tasted just the same. Shipping was fast, price was great. Highly recommend buying from Walmart!!
This was my first time buying stuffed grape leaves and it was delightful! The texture and flavor was so close to homemade I had to look at the can to be sure this was prepackaged. I would suggest the Eastern Feast brand every time, and hope others will enjoy its homemade taste. A !
This is the best stuffed grape leaves in a can that I have had. The value for the money is awesome as I have bought at a salad bar and this is more cost effective. The amount of stuffed grape leaves in the can is the most I have seen in a canned product.
I like the size of the can because when you open it and you're the only one who eats them I consume them in about a week then I'll wait till the next time I have them and when you open the can you get enough for another week? Each one is wrapped in grape leaves and they taste great. The sauce is good. I pour it on the bread when I'm done. This is one of those foods that when you eat, you feel good afterward. It's a little bit on the pricey side, but that's OK cause I will buy it again. I just wish it wasn't so expensive.
This brand of stuffed grape leaves is really one of the best that I've tasted. I gave it a four this brand of stuffed grape leaves is really one of the best that I've tasted. I gave it four stars because the first three on the top tasted a little mushy. This is a great addition to holiday hors d'oeuvres but I also recommend it for a late night snack.
I am not an expert or connoisseur of stuffed grape leave by any means. so I just go by how much I like the taste and texture. These tasted a little mild to me when I first tried them- maybe a little light on the dill. Maybe the olive oil. The taste did intensify a bit. The texture was excellent. The dolmas held together. Many brands fall apart. I found this to be very pleasing. There are 12 rolls in each can, and they keep well in the refrigerator if you do not consume all at once. I like them as a side with many proteins like crab cakes and chicken salad.
I typically love stuffed grape leaves when I buy them from a deli, but the texture of these ruined the whole experience for me. The rice mixture on the inside was extremely mushy. Perhaps there is no other option when they are canned. Unfortunately, I bought four cans. Not quite sure what I'll do with the other three. I don't recommend anything unless I can give it an overall 4 1/2 or five. The flavor was OK, and the grape leaves themselves weren't bad.
The taste isn't that bad %26 aren't overly lemony. Although, 1/2 of the batch per can fell apart. 2 cans out of the 4 were dented to the extent they were thrown away, in fear of any type of contamination. I wouldn't take the chance in paying $25 for 4 cans again.
I thought these would be much better. They are not wrapped tightly enough so when can is opened it is more of a soup than Stuffed grapes leaves, also the flavor seems quite mild compared to what it really should taste like. I would say they are OKAY but not the BEST I have ever tasted.
I received the cans in a wet greasy box. Upon opening this mess i found one can had opened during transport. I cleaned up what i could but threw out one entire can. I'm not happy that i paid for an item that had to be thrown out. These cans need to be packaged better to prevent this from happening going forward.
