Echelon Connect EX-5 Smart Exercise Bike With Rotating Console and Magnetic Resistance

This is a replacement of the same model I bought in 2019. Seems a solid bike. Smooth ride, and good value compared to its competition.

Great bike. Easy to assemble and good build quality.

Delivered without issue and assembled in about an hour, no issues. Bike is a stable sturdy ride. pedal clips feel great. Gym quality equipment for home.

The Echelon Connect EX-5 is a sturdy bike that provides an excellent, quiet workout. However, I wish I had been aware of these issues before I bought it: Poor Seat Comfort: The factory seat was extremely firm and uncomfortable for me. I immediately had to purchase a replacement seat to make the bike rideable. Limited Adjustability: Despite the adjustable components, I found the range of motion to be lacking for achieving a truly comfortable, personalized fit. Critical Firmware Risk: There is a significant risk that using the official Echelon app may trigger a firmware update that locks out all third-party cycling applications (like Zwift). Since I bought this bike specifically for use with those apps, this potential for digital restriction is a major concern. The bike itself is well-built, but these flaws heavily impacted my overall satisfaction.

I got this to replace my aging Proform Tour De France bike. The assembly and the instucktions were pretty good and I put it together in about 45 minutes. the shifting is good and it is smooth and quiet. It is easy to adjust the fit and it fits me well ( I am 6' 1") and it shoudl be fine anybody as tall as 6' 4". I f you are taller, you may need to look somewhere else. The Excelon app is definately over priced and I use it mostly with the free MyWhoosh app. If you want to use it with third party apps such as MyWhoosh, Rouvy, Zwift, etc, you will need the QZ app ($5 one time purchase) to may the bike connect since it is natively supported only by the Echelon app. The only issue I have with it, it seems the watt meter is way off and I needed to make adjustments in the QZ app to more accurately match my tipical output.

I love this indoor cycling bike. I purposely purchase the EX5 instead of the EX5S to be able to use this bike with the Peloton app which is cheaper than Echelons membership. I purchased this bike instead of Peloton due to the price and not having to pay the $40 membership. Its very quiet, connects to my phone or Ipad vía Bluetooth without any issues, and being able to see cadence, resistance and output its a must when doing the classes. The seat is very confortable as it can be after a couple of weeks, but remember that it is a spinning bike after all. I would recommend to anyone hesitant. Do be warn that Walmart screw my delivery. I could have ordered directly from Echelon with a discount and did not believing that I would get my bike in less than a week as promised; instead took almost two weeks and many frustrating conversations with customer service. It turns out my bike hasnt even shipped the day that it was supposed to be delivered.

Overall, the bike has been good. It has taken me a while to adjust to the way this bike sits. No matter how I adjust it, for me the handlebars are not positioned correctly but I am adjusting. I do occasionally have connection issues with my iPad and the bike. Like others have mentioned, I wish there was a way for the app to remember my iPad, so I don't have to reconnect every time I work out. Occasionally it has struggled to connect, but feel that might be an issue more with my internet than the app/bike?

A very well built machine. I wish it was a little more upright. I'm 66, and can't stretch out like I used to.. The 4 way adjustment could be better. The bike seat is ok. I don't need the membership, and cancelled it. I can get a good workout, though the bike fit is not great.

This is an amazing exercise bike, especially for the price. I really like that it doesn't take up a lot of room. Also, it is heavy so it doesn't move while you are cycling. Stay stable.

It's a joke !!!! Bike doesn't have any display ! after that 30 days you need to pay for the app and use your phone and you cannot track your speed or any calories burning !!
