Has to be the best curtains I ever bought, curtains that block light and sound? My dog loves to bark at any noise outside, there was a car accident in front early morning my dogs and I heard nothing. Black out? Definitely!! a must buy if light and sound are a bother
These work very well! I ordered four panels for my son's 70" wide window which sits on the south side of the house. In the afternoon, the room is pitch black when the curtains are closed. And these help him sleep in during the summer. Would purchase again.
I originally ordered the pink, green, and red curtains--I was going to do something mod, i.e., have one color in each of my daughter's windows--but it turned out only the red of those three was truly room-darkening, so I returned the other colors and bought only red. The curtains look great. Note that you get only one curtain per package so if you want two per window, you have to order more curtains.
I ordered 4 grommet panels for my 133 in huge drafty window. I think they are great. They have kept the room cool when it was hot. Now I will see if they keep the heat in in the fall and winter. I ordered the kids drapes because I couldn't have long drapes. They were very wrinkled when I took them out of the box, but I put a damp towel in with two panels in the dryer for 20 minutes and it took 95% of the wrinkles out. The price was excellent and the material was just right, not real heavy and not too light.
These blackout drapes are great quality and do what they aren’t mean to do — great material - love the color so much - I purchased 8 pairs already — for 2 different rooms — they look so nice — Easy to hang on the rods and they slide easy to open and close — I also purchased these in burgundy and teal colors — all the colors look so beautiful—
Our daughter's large bedroom window gets so much light, it was difficult for her to sleep past sunrise (and at certain times of the year, the sun rises at 5 a.m.). After three years of this, we finally tried these curtains. It took four panels to cover her window. Thankfully, it works!! The other curtains and blinds we tried don't even compare. When these curtains are closed, our daughter's room is like a cave and she is sleeping much better. Another positive is the white backing so that from the outside, they look white. I have 2 cons: 1) We initially measured and believed we only needed two curtains but had to order two more after receiving the first set. They don't seem to be as wide as the measurements described. 2) Since they are unable to be laundered, it is difficult to get the wrinkles out from packaging. However, the pros far outweigh these cons. If you want good blackout curtains - go with these!
Purchased four panels for my daughter's bedroom to replace decorative valences that didn't really block out light or noise. They definitely help her sleep better and the color is great. Following the instructions to run them thru the dryer with a dryer sheet to get the packaging wrinkles out worked somewhat, but the rest of the wrinkles fell out after being hung for about a week. The only negative is the "new curtain" smell that took about two weeks to fade away.
I'm not too sure what people are complaining about when it comes to this product! I ordered two of the lime green panels for my baby and am very happy with my purchase. I get that they claim to block out 99% of light, which they don't, but for this price, can you really expect a heavy duty/high end light blocker? The room is SIGNIFICANTLY darker and I think paired with blinds or a shade it would be just as dark as if I would have spent big bucks on the real deal from a drape company. My windows are a little drafty and it definitely keeps the draft out as well. It's cold between the window and curtain, but I don't feel it from the inside of the room. I thought these curtains had a liner, but it's more of a paint on the other side of the fabric. There's always room for improvement, which is the only reason I'm not giving these curtains 5 stars. These look great and actually exceeded my expectations. I've never actually been a fan of grommet top curtains, but I love these. The price and negative reviews really had me thinking I would end up with cheapy cheapness that did virtually nothing. I say buy them (definitely iron them) and enjoy!
I bought these solely for the purpose of them being blackout. They are basically sheer. I got them in white and I’m highly disappointed. I also got them in the grey and the grey is more blackout than the white. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THE WHITE. THEY ACT LIKE SHEER CURTAINS. I wake up every morning with my room fully lit due to the curtains not doing what they are supposed to be doing.
We bought these for our baby's nursery. They did not block the light at all. Regular curtains do a better job. They had a weird plastic backing like a shower curtain. They smelt awful. They cannot be washed. They also had a weird stain in between the cloth and plastic layer. I returned them immediately. I would not recommend these.
