No issues, heavy with the battery but the shoulder strap helps. My gas backpack blower stopped working after over 10 years of use, even after I replaced the carburetor. No more pulling cords or gas maintenance issues. I wish they had a Backpack style with this power / price point.
I haven't tried the 880 CFM blower, but this 765 CFM exceeded my expectations. I found it a little heavy with the 5Ah battery, but I was pleased to see it came with the EGO strap, and that makes it much more easier to handle. I'm considering adding a 2nd handle to it, but really, with the strap it works fine for me. I like the variable speed dial, and preferred it over the idea of the cruise-lock design on the 880 (even though I never tried it). The 765 CFM has plenty of power for me, barely ever needing the Turbo mode, except for those rare stubborn leaves that cling to our outdoor rugs (and I get too lazy to bend down and loosen it). My set up came without the extra 2.5Ah battery deal, so I only got the 5Ah. I wonder if that lighter battery would make a much lighter set-up, but as I said, using the strap resolves that. This is my first EGO device, and I am happy with the runtime, the charge-time on the battery, and the overall power performance of the system. I'm in the process of purging all my old (gas & corded) lawn equipment and I think this blower is the start of my jump into the EGO Power+ world. There is a mower and a string trimmer in my future. I really like the LM2244SP-2 mower, and considering an ST1611T trimmer. Unfortunately I missed a great bundle deal Lowe's had on that exact package - My hope is that it will return soon. As an engineer that works for a mining company that actually has fully electrified machines, the battery technology is important to me, thus why I was impressed by EGO. I expect that with simple proper battery care, minding its storage charge states, and keeping them in a moderate temp controlled environment, they will provide many years of service. Batteries are expensive, but from experience I know that if you treat them right, they will provide a nice long service life. I strongly recommend the 765 CFM blower for anyone that is looking for a very powerful unit and understands this isn't one of those lightweight units that barely moves debris. This is a powerhouse best used for those big jobs that require muscle!
Bought three Ego tools this month. 765 cfm blower is great for most things. Does not seem to want to remove moss from exposed aggregate driveway but clears every thing else. Even eliminates most raking. 16" trimmer might just be too powerful for me. I'm 77 but still doing my own yard work. Wish it was a bit lighter but don't honestly see how it could be done. But yard is irregular and it's great not having to drag an extension cord around. All batteries are just fine. Owing to Ego specials I now have five of them from 2.5 amp hour to 5.0 amp hour. All work well, and interchange as advertised. This applies to chargers as well. Third tool not specified here but is 16" chain saw. Have not used it yet. The review page asked "How do I find my Ego tools"? Easy, I go into the garage and look for them. :)
This lightweight cordless blower is a shoulder saver, It has a strong airflow,it has an ergonomic grip and it gets the job done! Before I chose to go cordless, I never realized how much weight an extension cord adds to your chores of walking around the yard.
Switched from a Stihl BG-50 gas blower to this Power+765 and the difference is amazing. Running at 60% equals the gas blower and turbo is there to move piles of leaves mixed with twigs that the old one could not. No starting, no mixing gas - just push a button and go!
Purchased a few weeks ago to replace a different brand that was only 5 years old but 4 battery's have failed. Previous blower would struggle to blow all the pine needles and pine nuts out of driveway and take 2 batteries over about 45min, this new EGO blower takes about 20min for the same amount of work because air volume is so strong, even using the power boost I still have over half the 5amp battery left and 1/4 of the 2.5amp. Only time will tell if the batteries will last but the blower itself is top notch and worth the extra $$. Also very quiet and easy to handle even with the heavy battery, the balance with the battery on while blowing makes it seem lighter than it actually is.
Purchased this as an alternative to my past gas powered blowers. This blower provides great airflow and ease of use. Noise levels are lower than gas powered blowers. The battery is quick to charge and lasts a sufficient amount of time to complete normal tasks.
Picked this up a couple weeks ago. Fit/finish/quality are great like their other products- I already have the string trimmer and chain saw (wow, why didn't I get that one a long time ago?). Airflow is phenomenal. I need to keep it turned down a bit for most things I use it for. It is lightweight, comfortable to hold, and easy on the ears. I have chickens that free-range around the house during the day. They make mess of the landscaping mulch and throw it all over the drive and grass. I always dreaded having to go out and sweep and rake up the mess. Not anymore! And it's done in a flash. I never thought I needed a blower because we don't have the typical driveway that gets grass all over it from mowing. It has WAY more uses than I ever imagined. How about this one: in 20 seconds I can completely clean up the front porch area of leaves and dirt and such that accumulates from the wind blowing stuff around AND eliminate all the cobwebs and bugs up all the corners and overhang/ceiling that always look nasty! Sweet! We have a big stone back patio. Used to go out and sweep it occasionally. Not anymore more- done in less than a minute. With each tool, I set up a cool and useful storage station for them- each like the one pictured. I can't wait to see what other uses I come up with.
Recently bought a 765 CFM Blower because I needed an extra battery for my EGO mower and this has a 5Ah battery. I do use blowers and wanted a high end blower but didn't want to go with a higher CFM model because they seem to drain batteries quicker. As with my mower, I don't baby my equipment and put it to the test and use them at a high level. I picked a spot in the back of my garage where pine needles and leaves have built up over the years and found that the blower could lift and blow matted down wet leaves and needles right off the ground! Mind you, that was on Turbo Mode but once they were loose just using high speed was enough to keep them going and I was able to blow them right back into the woods. On the other end of the spectrum at low speed, the variable speed of the blower allows me to blow leaves and debris off the pea gravel around the bottom of the outside of our pool where we have a decorative border of gravel and rocks without blowing the pea gravel away. Runtime seems to be sufficient for what I need and I now have 2 batteries as I have 2 tools so I should be good for when it comes to things like fall leaf blowing. I like the strap that comes with the blower except that the strap holder on the pad should go right to each end of the pad so it isn't so awkward to place on your shoulder. The bottom "stand" or second hand grip is OK but it would be nice to have a knob or grip closer to the top of the blower so you wouldn't have to spin the blower to grab the handle when using two hands. I have used other blowers at work and I like the fact that the fan inlet is inboard of the unit so you don't suck your clothes in and block the airflow when using it. I have used other blowers at work and this is by far the most powerful blower I have used yet. The wide nozzle doesn't seem to work for me but it may work with large swaths of dry leaves in the fall. I also have found no use for the "cruise control" dial yet. I'm looking forward to using the stub nozzle for drying my car after washing and blowing snow off of it in the winter. We'll see how that works when the time comes. In the meantime, I'm loving my new blower and look forward to mowing my entire lawn in one shot without waiting for my single battery to charge now that I have 2 batteries. I'm a happy camper and yard work is so much easier now with my new blower. Cheers, John
EGO provided an option to share a battery with my mower, and this super blower. I have to grow accustomed to this powerful tool, that made short work of magnolia leaves and lawn clippings. Cleanup of all debris, adjust airflow with a flip of a switch - literally. I so deserved this upgrade. I use earplugs as it is a bit noisy. I'm 5' so the enclosed strap helps with the balance of the tool. Hope it lasts a long time.
