I was intrigued by the name and information on this product and decided to give it a try. It has a thick yet gooey consistency and its spreads over the skin surprisingly quite well given how viscous it is. I use only a little and it does the job well. At the size of the tube I bought it in and the amount of times I’ve used it, there’s still plenty left. It’s a good primer for makeup as it does keeps any makeup application in place. I’ve also worn it without makeup and it does a good job at blurring pores and imperfections. I’ve walked past mirrors thinking alright elf y’all knew what you were doing with this.
Since I tried the green Prime grip, I thought I would try this since I am 55 years old, you talk about a difference between the 2, it plumpled up my skin and fine lines and wrinkles.
I got a bonus deal that included the setting spray i was already needing to buy. The price for both was the regular cost of the setting spray, so i got two for one!
Love the Elf Power Grip, especially the name. Using this makeup primer definitely ups your makeup game. Your products perform better using Elf primer. I also just learned how Elf has had their 20th consecutive month of growth on the stock exchange and reaped great rewards with their advertising during the Super Bowl, Go girls!
I bought this sample size to assure that I was happy with the product. I have been disappointed in the performance of other primers and setting sprays, and trying to shake up my routine to make it easy, coverage, natural looking, but also to last all day. This little miracle is staying in my rotation! Will be re-ordering it in the larger size in the future
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This primer has a lightweight feel, almost fragance-free scent. The application is smooth. The niacinamide is a great bonus for helping with my redness and uneven skin texture Overall, it’s works well for combination and acne-prone skin
This is a great product at keeping makeup on. It doesn’t really blur pores though. I guess I need to use something with silicone in it.
Have used many primers before this one, but decided to give it a try b/c of the price and b/c I have purchased many other ELF products that have been great. I may have received a bad batch, but this primer is more like applying a thick sticky glue to your face that would never marry up w/ what you apply next. It was just too thick and unmoving by itself. Again, I may have received a bad batch, or an expired product, so make up your own mind.
Not quite what I needed but not the fault of store
I don’t love this. It’s very sticky, hard to spread out on my skin and even if I wait a good 15 minutes to let it dry down, it grabs any powder makeup so fast that it becomes hard to blend. The niacinamide does seem to soothe my redness.
