Equate Non-Drowsy Allergy Medication

CM April 22, 2026

Used to shop around for a great price that accommodates 75% of the family living with indoor/outdoor (%26 food allergies) until I stumbled on this generic brand that completely supported our needs with a steal of a deal price. At first, I thought hurry up make the purchase before "the realized mistake" is updated but nope; it was the deal that we're sticking with. Yes, it's generic however ran it by the Pharmacist for the active ingredients is the same with the brand allergen medication; it is. Fellow Allergen Suffers, save yourselves a few bucks and try it.

Allergy Relief That Works Without the High Price

NoxyGirl March 18, 2026

I've tried a lot of allergy meds and this one really surprised me. Equate Non-Drowsy All Day Allergy Relief Loratadine 10 mg Tablets works just as well as the expensive brands without the high price. One pill in the morning and I'm good all day with no drowsiness just relief. Definitely worth trying.

Equate 10mg Loratadine works for me

Anonymous December 10, 2025

I've been using equate loratadine 10mg tablets for my hayfever for a number of years and they've worked well for me. The key I was told was to take before allergy season starts so you prevent symptoms before they occur - which can be pretty miserable. If you suffer any health conditions or you are taking any prescription meds, check with your doctor first before you start taking any thing new to make sure they are safe for you to do so. Other then that I recommend them.

This is the same medicine as Claritin, except it's a generic. Why waste money for a name brand when the store brand is the same? I've used loratadine as London as the generic was legal. Before that I used Claritin with a prescription. It's helps my allergies better than any other medicine.

Much cheaper than Claritin

Debra March 27, 2026

I have allergies and was taking Claritin. This is the same active ingredient as the brand name at considerable savings. I have hypertension and take blood pressure medication. This does not measurably affect my blood pressure. It also doesn't affect my borderline type 2 diabetes. No heartburn, reflux, or aftertaste. I am allergic to some things, the fillers seem to be inert. I appreciate the one a day extended release. I am celiac and allergic to oats. I do not have any reactions to these. Some other medications I have had issues with the fillers… I appreciate the large amount of pills per bottle and at a more reasonable price, this two pack of bottles will last more than a year, so I won't run out as fast. I recommend this medication as a cost savings if you are taking Claritin.

For Dogs?

GLYN December 4, 2025

Okay to be completely honest. I use the equate Zyrtec. But my new vet has told me that they no longer recommend Benadryl for dogs allergies. I gave my last dog's Benadryl for years instead of the costly dog prescription allergy medication. But the new medication vet's now recommend is Claritin. Which this is the generic. At CVS their generic is outrageously overpriced for 10.. Even on sale. But I needed them so I bought them one time from CVS. Never again.. Vets that don't won't to break you up any worse. They will try and find a less expensive alternative to the one “real” dog allergy pill. This pill is safe for dogs. I don't know about cats. But check first with your vet. Because the dosage is so low. For example, these pills come in 10mg dosages. My dog weighs about 9 lbs. therefore I give him a quarter pill. I read a 25 lb dachshund gets a 5 mg dosage. That was what I based mine own. The vet said use them but didn't tell me how much of the tablet to use. I went with half of a 5. But I'm used to giving dogs medication. BUT DO NOT LISTEN TO ME. I JUST HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH ALOT OF DOG ALLERGIES. So if your dog has allergies and is rolling around going crazy. Ask your vet if this could be an alternative to that bottle of $50 /month pills?

It could be that after long term use, I could have gotten immune. Seems to me when they changed the shape from teardrop to circle, the effect did not last 24 hours. However, for the cost, small sized pill and twin pack offering, it is still worth recommending to others.

Still Waiting For Results!

sandra May 13, 2026

I've been taking this allergy medicine for at least 2-3 weeks now and so far I'm not seeing any difference with my allergies than when I wasn't taking it so if or when that changes, I will update this review and until then your guess is as good as mine.

Rebecca April 8, 2026

Switched from more expensive brand I had taken for years during allergy season. After 2 days of taking as directed my symptoms came back and felt miserable! Waited a day then began taking Claritin again and by next morning back to relief! I was so excited to save money but was not worth it. I would not recommend equate allergy! Very dissatisfied
