Equate Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor with Wide Range Cuff – Irregular Heartbeat Detection

only just recently found out I had a heart condition and was told I need to monitor my blood pressure and irregular heartbeats and this machine reads when I do have irregular heartbeats during a blood pressure reading. it's very easy to use. no fuss, no muss. very easy to read. I absolutely love it

I have owned this blood pressure monitor for approximately 5 months and it has exceeded my expectations. Wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into with the price being so reasonable. I am pleasantly surprised with the ease of use and reliability of this device.

I'm caring for my Daddy full-time and needed to replace our BP monitor. Ordered the brand recommended by his Doc - the Platinum version. Has several options we didn't have previously that could let me track it several different ways. Daddy has A-Fib and has for years. The monitor I purchased detects it which is great, but there was no way to override it and get a reading. I KNOW HE'S IN AFIB! End result was calling 911 as I knew it was low but couldn't take any chances. The monitor I replaced it with is FANTASTIC. Simple and easy - plus I didn't have to wait a week to get it.

there is no voice but i do not want one - i rather have an accurate meter - also the monitor is large and well to read - i feel this is better then the name brand and i bought 2 of these as it is my true health wellness gauge - there is no syncing but it is accurate and i like that this works with double AA batteries - you will need 4 of them - also it is very easy to put together

Overall it is easy to use once you fight with the cuff to get it on. Th problem over all is the tube is too short. Since I have to do this alone it is hard to slide it on my arm, hold it in place and then tighten it. The only way I have been able to make it work is put the cuff on first then plug it in. Which means I have to unplug it every time I need to use it so I can put the cuff on. I do have to say the cuff is a good size. I am a big woman and I have large arms and the cuff fits perfectly with extra room. The picture shown is the cuff at its “normal” setting it can go slightly larger. It also shows the length of the tube. It appears to be a good length until you try to work with it to put the cuff on. Other than this I find it works well. Readings are clear, results are quick , I am still learning how to use it so I don’t know how to retake a reading as I have to do a reading sitting then standing so I just turn the power off then back on. For the cost it is well worth it.

About two weeks after purchasing , while taking blood pressure it cuts off. Sometimes I can get reading after starting over and trying for about 10 or 12 times. I am exhausted and upset by the time I can get a reading. Hate this Equate monitor.6000 wireless series.

The Velcro on the cuff is extremely thick and causes a much higher reading on my bp. Luckily I was able to use the cuff from my previous equate monitor which I have had for years but dropped and broke, always a good idea to have your doctor check your monitor because this one was way off.

it's junk and when u call the manufacturer they question you and when you tell them that you change batteries in it they tell you they don't believe you pretty much they call you a liar I wouldn't recommend that to anyone

this is a very dangerous machine due to the inaccurate readings, no matter where the cuff is place or how tight it is it will always read too high or too low. do not waste your money on this. get an approved one or prescription if possible

Consistently took my blood pressure with this to monitor due to history of pre eclampsia. Blood pressure seemed way lower than it’s ever been for me, which I found odd. Went to the reviews and noticed this monitor is notorious for giving lower readings, and that the Omron is more accurate. Ordered the Omron and tried these two, one after the other and you can see the discrepancy. 118/69 on equate vs 124/81 on Omron.
