It is far better than the ice machines that first came out. It makes more ice faster, and the cubes are better(not bullets). Still could be faster or make more at one time. For a party you would have to start building a supply days in advance. It wouldn't keep up with a family of any size, even if kept running all day. It is fine for a couple. It beats buying ice, anywhere. And has almost paid for itself. I love it. I can't drink water without ice. Makes drinking anything, not hot, much better. I expect to see these get better over time, but it works for me now. Love, Love, Love!

Starts ice output in under 10 minutes, and it is the good, soft crunchy texture that it advertises. It makes a low but moderate amount of noise, nothing excessive in my opinion. You do have to pay attention to the process if you want to get ice to save for later use. The newly produced ice will clump together if you put it straight into the freezer, so what we do is spread it on a lid from a cake pan to solidify before transferring to the storage container. The water will need filled regularly as well, as would be expected if you want to make more than a small batch of ice. Overall it puts out a lot of ice in a reasonable amount of time. Very happy with the purchase.

I've always wanted nugget ice but if you're not using it immediately right after you're making it there's no need of getting it because you have to put it in the freezer when you put it in the freezer you got to beat it down in order to unchunk the dots so for that reason I'm going to return it

I love everything about this ice maker it's small fits perfect on the counter without taking up much room were a family of 6 and it makes more than enough ice for us nice small soft nugget ice! I've seen people saying it was loud so I was worried about that but it's not loud at all.

Ice maker is a nice size, not too big and fairly quiet. This does not make the nugget ice like you get at some of the fast food places. It's miniature, square-almost pyramid shaped ice. However, it makes a lot of ice and the small, miniature size is great for drinks, smoothies and shakes. I'm pleased with this purchase.

its okay if you using it for a gathering. it just doesnt keep the ice cold. If you want ice from it when you wake up, it will have to be making ice continuously. it doesnt keep the ice cold. the ice just that melts down to wear the water is.

It worked great for about a month, but then started making a noise at the back of the unit whenever it would cycle during the ice making process. It's definitely something mechanical. Now, we have some concerns about if it is safe to continue to use, or if something is going to burnout. We are going to be sending back. The time period to return is excellent (5 Stars). The ice nuggets that it made were very enjoyable and close enough to “Sonic Ice”.

This ice maker was great at first, it makes ice quickly, isnt too loud and was easy to use. However after about 5 months of use it now has a chemical/ plastic smell and taste to the ice. I have ran the cleaning cycle multuple times with white vinegar then once with lemon juice. I even let it air out for several days and i can not get the chemical smell/ taste to go away now. So i will be throwing it away.

Bought this as a gift for my spouse. Not a good machine. Ice kept getting clogged. Machine froze up several times and wouldn't produce ice even though there was water to the fill line. Did a clean cycle on it and it worked for a week after that then stopped working completely. Would not recommend this brand.
