So far so good. I hung it on a hook on a south-facing semi-shady trellis, and it's working flawlessly. It lights up the walkway very nicely at night when motion is detected. The LEDs will blink when the battery gets too low, but it hasn't happened yet. A great little device. I'm thinking of getting a second one.
Seems to work great, so far. Be sure and put in a place that gets good sunlight. Easy to install. Very pleased so far and would recommend.
Excellent light. Works well to light my gate.
This is a great addition to my front porch. Easy to install and work's perfectly
Would give 5 stars if it weren't so picky about placement for proper sunlight charging it. It basically must be placed in full DIRECT sunlight. Also only stays on a very short amount of time. Maybe 5 seconds or so.
The light works great...IF you can mount it facing SOUTH!!! The solar panel must be facing direct sunlight in order to recharge, which means you can't mount it on the north side, especially in winter! Having to face south greatly reduces the usability of this item and this needs to be listed on the package instead of inside on the mounting instructions.
The item can not be out in an area that gets wet, but it needs lots of sunlight to keep charged. After charging it on my kitchen table, It worked for a short time over my entrance door, but a week later it doesn't. Can't figure out how to get more sunlight and stay out of the rain on my car port. So I have to take it down and charge it before I can put it back up for use. Not worth the effort. Good idea, but does not keep working in covered car port area.
Unable to place it by the covered porch door, as it requires southern light for many hours. Elsewhere, subject to the elements, it works, but for less than 30 seconds at high power. It takes me that long to get my key out. This might work for some people, but not for me.
Never ended up working. I live in Arizona, and these have been receiving full sun for over two weeks, yet they still won't turn on. Sometimes I see a faint light during the day, and then it immediately goes out. I even bought two of them, neither worked. Very disappointed, I have neighbors with the same lights and theirs work perfectly well and aren't even in full sun. Not sure what went wrong with mine.
Quit working after 2 weeks. If it doesn't work after rain, what good is it? Actually I wouldn't even give it 1 star.
