I absolutely love the Fiskars Fruit Picker Mesh Basket with FiberComp Tabs! It's lightweight, durable, and makes picking fruit from tall trees so much easier. The flexible tabs gently grab the fruit without damaging it, and the mesh basket is deep enough to collect several pieces before emptying. Perfect for apples, pears, and even softer fruit. If you're a backyard gardener or just want to make fruit picking more enjoyable and efficient, this tool is a must-have!
I've used Fiskars products since I was a young man. I saw one of these slashed down to $10 and didn't think twice about it. Until I saw one that was $7. So I bought it and sent it to my twin brother. He loves his as well! Solid construction with sturdy materials. Thanks Fiskars!
The product works very well picking ripe fruits. Th soft basket allows harvesting without damaging the fruits. I have the compatible pruner where this tool attaches which makes it more user friendly.
This basket fits my Fiskars pruner perfectly. It is what I've needed to get the pesky lemons from the top of the tree. Those thorns on it are huge so this easy reach will help out big time.
Really glad got this and the picker is made sturdy and is very light. The fabric and design will handle fruit the right way and I can't wait to use it this fall.
this is very well made and looks and feels durable. I attached it to my pole and already have used it to pick my avocados, the mesh bag collects the fruit and cushions it from bruising. overall it's does its purpose and I'm happy
The opening is not wide enough for any fruit over about 3-1/2" so I was not able to use it for grapefruit. I did not buy the Fiskars pole. The pole I have is slightly less than an inch in diameter at the attachment point so I had to improvise with a short length of thick cardboard tube that twine had been wrapped around. The basket clamp looks like it would work better with a pole diameter of 1-1/4".
I was impressed with the Fiskars Fruit Picker Basket especially since Fiskars is a good brand as well as the item was over %50 off. I have never had an issue with Fiskars. I like the unique shape %26 item for fruit picking. Altough I won't be using this until Summer when it is warm weather (thus the 4 star rating) It is well made and good quality.
This is practically one of the only worthwhile fruit picking attachments on the market. I would recommend using it as is for fruit that is easily pulled off of the tree. For fruit that has thicker stems, I'd recommend the optional pruning attachment which Fiskars sells. Not recommended for figs, which really have to be picked by hand, as they are very small and get mangled very easily if you use something like this, even with the snipping attachment. Most of the time you'll end up with half a fig in your basket. Ask me how I know.
The fruit picker basket appears to be well-made. I won't be able to confirm until harvest time in the Fall. Regarding shipping, not all pieces were attached to the product when I opened the box. Some thumbscrews were rolling around inside of the box. Based on a comparison to product pictures, it appears all pieces were included. It is just a bit concerning that loose pieces could have fallen out during product packing.
