I previously owned a trimmer that had a cord that constantly tangled as I reached for high branches. This trimmer is so easy to use and attacks 1" branches that I thought might be too thick. This tool makes quick work of trimming medium to large trees and bushes, and it is very lightweight when I'm on a ladder reaching up.
The most versitle & handy tool for pruning trees & Shrubs around the yard. The lenier motion is easy to use & wont tire you out like pruniers sissor action. Grab high branches effortlessly with out the problem of using a pruner on a ladder. You wont regret buying one.
Opened the package and the tool was ready to use. We trimmed branches on our live oak tree and removed the fruit branches from our palm tree . Even used it to reach and remove dead branches from some of our shrubs that I could not reach with any saw or other tool that I had and that was all on the first day I used it. It is so easy to use it is amazing .
I'm 68 with health issues. You don't have to have a great deal of strength to use this one. We have another pruner that is so heavy for me to handle, extended or not. I trimmed the pear tree we inherited, and this Fiskar did a great job. I'd recommend this tool to anyone but especially my senior Ladies who still want to work in their yards. My son-in-law is jealous that the head can be angled! 5 out of 5 all day long!
Tis tool is a MUST have for tree trimming or ground brush to big for mower. Keep your fence line clean. No bending over to cut. Cuts parallel to the ground so no sharp stumps to step on on run over with mower tires. If you have to pull really hard, the limb is to big or the type of wood is to hard.
Seems to be of good quality and works very well. It is not recommended for higher pruning as it is not very long.
Replaced 15 year old one which broke when lateral force was applied to the head, breaking the head. It was a very good tool. Don't abuse it.
You absolutely want to add these pruners to your garden tools. Not only great for hard to reach limbs up high, but great for low ground growth. Easy to use and no hassle of ropes getting in the way since everything is internal. Pruner head can be adjusted for angle and the extender at the bottom is also very handy. Light weight, super sharp, and cuts cleanly the first time. Worth the cost!
I used one of these last summer %26 it's awesome! So awesome that I need my own. I have hand/arm/shoulder problems %26 my strength has been waning as I age, so I tend to not buy hand tools that require my own power. I have a lot of "weed trees" pop up every year in my tiered yard %26 lots are just too far away from my hedge trimmers reach safely - this stick pruner is long enough to cut them safely %26 I actually have enough strength to work it. The mechanism is easy to use, the blades are sharp, the pole is a good length, it's not very heavy, etc. I have used many Fiskars products in my 50 years %26 have never had a problem with them doing the jobs they are designed for. Fiskars has been a trusted brand in my family for many decades. I definitely recommend trying this awesome branch pruner %26 the other Fiskars products. They are always easy to use, have sturdy construction, sharp cutting edges %26 they work as intended for many years. I still have my first pair of Fiskars scissors from 40 years ago - they are definitely worth the price.
I loved the advertised features; however, it took less than 5 mins for the 5ft pole and its features to fail. Like the 14ft Fiskar Pole I had purchased earlier, that failed to 'open and close' to complete a cut, the 5ft Cutter also failed to close and open to complete a cut. The both stayed open. Do you have and idea or can I get a referral...? I think the both have 'life-time' warranties. I am not ready to through either of them away; I loved the operational features. I do not have boxes long enough to ship them in.
