I love these freezer “ice blankets”, and you can't beat the price. They are very versatile due to design and being able to fold along short side in many spots, and fold down completely to a very small footprint in your freezer. The material seems very high quality and I don't think I'll ever have to worry about them getting punctured or leaking under typical use…unlike several other more expensive “ice blankets” I have bought in the past few years that lasted a year or less just using them for simple things like placing in a small cold beverage or lunch tote. I love these because I can totally wrap a can of soda, Monster, etc., in one of these and keep it ice cold for hours. During the huge heat wave here last summer, when I went grocery shopping, I brought my “cold/freezer grocery bags” and put 1 ice blanket in each bag, lined the bottom of a large rubbermaid tote with some of them and the other brand's, placed the bags on top and snapped the lid on. I was able to go to several stores and spent a few hours shopping and all my frozen and cold food like cheeses and meats, were still nice and cold. I also fold one in half, wrapped it in a thin kitchen towel and either place it on my forehead or back of neck when I get a migraine or just feel too hot.
this would cover a normal standard pillow. I was expecting a blanket for some reason because I didn't read the size I guess but it's still great quality and will do what I need plus it will be convenient for other uses too.
This is an ice pack that can be folded. It freezes quickly, and stays cold for a long time. Not long enough for several days in a cooler but for several hours, it stays cold.
My refrigerator is on its last legs. I need to be ready for when it dies. So, I will use the ice-pack blankets to keep my food cold until the new refrigerator is installed.
Purchased the ice blanket to keep fruit fresh at a party. Worked great. Have also used it in I've chests and too keep items chilled on trips. Great price, easy to clean, easy to use.
This is a very good product for keeping food as well as other food items fresh and edible. My first time buying this item and will buy again and price not bad either
I like these blankets. They don't stay frozen all day, but are still very nice to use in lunch kits and cooler bags. I use them in conjunction with other plastic freeze packs. They fit perfectly around the sides of almost all of our smaller cooler bags. I also use them in our big cooler and lay two of them across the cold items on top (using big cooler packs on the bottom of the cooler). I've had one of these for over two years and while it is showing signs of wear, it hasn't leaked yet. Just bought another last week.
I bought these because of their flexibility, so much to my surprise when frozen they aren't flexible at all! They bend to a certain degree, but ended up too large for the small and medium styrofoam coolers i bought. I like it that they are still useable after the first use. I can't speak to how well they work because in the process of moving the styrofoam cooler got torn up, so I don't know if they really help keep food cold all day or not.
Cheap way to keep the cooler cold. Was a little disappointed in the quality and how thin the ice cubes are. Will do in a pinch and it was inexpensive.
Very cheaply manufactured and made to very low quality standards. I purchased two of these to take on a two night camping trip this past weekend. There was only three of us. All retired, non-alcoholic, older, Christian females that enjoy time together studying, growing, enjoying the fellowship, improving and sharing our beliefs. Before the end of our "Camp Outing / Study" both ice pack blankets had torn apart in several places inbetween where the cubes are separated and encapsulated. We ended up having 6 or 7 unusable pieces that in no way could be used as a top layer covering for the contents in the cooler. The only reason I purchased these, is because they are advertised as being a blanket. That meaning it should create a barrier between the inside of the cooler and the outside temperature; RIGHT? What better way is there to keep the cold in and the hot out? The only thing I can come up with is: CREATE AND PRODUCE A PRODUCT THAT WILL ACTUALLY HOLD UP, STAY TOGETHER IN ONE PIECE, CREATING A COVER LIKE A THICK / HEAVY / EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY QUILT; NOT A THIN / FLIMSY BLANKET COMING APART AT ITS SEAMS. At no time during our outing was one of us very petite, fragile old ladies hard on or rough getting stuff out or putting stuff in the very durable, hard sided cooler we were using. I understand this is not an expensive product and know that each pack only cost me a few dollars. It is not about the few dollars I threw in the trash. This is all about the poor quality of products that are getting placed on our store shelves at the majority of all retailers, and this is the kind of crap we end up purchasing because the other few options we have on the shelves to choose from are no better. If I would have only saved the packaging (the boxes were actually made of very sturdy, heavy duty, good quality cardboard. Very attractive package, made the product appear as if it were high quality
