Great ice maker! It arrived fast. Was so w Easy to set up that my 8 year old niece got it started for me! I love my ice maker! Makes a lot of ice fast and quiet! I press the start button and go about my day and come back to great quality ice that last allday!
This is my second until. I purchase one for home and have had it for 2 years now. I recently purchased one for our office and everyone loves it. Ice is made quickly, a full basket fills 3, 16oz cups.
I love this countertop ice maker. I use a lot of ice and the ice maker in my refrigerator doesn’t always make enough. It’s lightweight and doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. It begins making ice as soon as you plug it in and it makes a lot! I highly recommend purchasing this if you’re looking for a good countertop ice maker.
This is great in my new house, built in the 1800s, with no water line to my new fridge for ice. The only con to it is that the ice needs dumped regularly to avoid it melting. I solved that issue by only running it will I am home, and running it for 6-8 hours while dumping ice and filling it (sounds like a lot of work, but its not) makes enough for 3 or 4 days for the 2 of us, and I use a lot of ice. Great work around for those who love ice cold drinks.
I thought the small setting would make the tiny cubes of ice. once I transfer it to my ice bucket in my freezer, ice sticks together something awful so I have to chip it loose. Like the speed and how it works, just not fun of the kind of ice it produced.
Arrived damaged. The whole back of the machine was bent in so badly that I was afraid to even attempt to use it. The original box was damaged but the Walmart box it was shipped in was not damaged, which leads me to believe this didn’t happen during shipping. Very frustrating.
This ice maker grows mold inside of it easily even though we use reverse osmosis water to fill it and use a scoop to get the ice out. Then it quit working after 13 months. Our old Dometic ice maker lasted 4 years. The basket is rather small and the ice continues to block the sensor even when most of what was in the basket has melted. We bought the extended warranty but they will either give me back $20 less than what it cost or I'll have to wait for them to evaluate my claim and ship a new one. So, unfortunately, I won't have the ice maker for my camping trip this weekend.
Ice maker came defective right of the box, see my photo for reference. It appears it did not go through quality control and the parts were not installed correctly and flushed. I didn’t notice it until it inhibited the ice from dispensing into basket therefore causing the machine to stop making ice. Quite disappointing!!
I have bought two of these exact same units now and both quit working in less than a year of use. Both times the ice freezing element quit freezing the water. I clean my machine and do everything I’m supposed to but it’s a crappy product apparently. The second time it happens I decided I’d try to get manufacture to repair, replace or refund and followed all of the lengthy steps to create a warranty claim and after everything including a video of the issue they said I would have to ship it to them at my expense and didn’t mention if they will guarantee a refund, repair or replacement once I do that. It will cost me at least $20 to send in the mail. I told them to close my case. I will buy an ice maker from another company in the future. Also, Frigidaire doesn’t handle these claims themselves, it’s outsourced to Curtis international. I included screenshots for proof.
I purchased a total of 3 Frigidaire Ice Makers for my sisters and myself.. I gave the Frigidaire Ice Makers for Mother's Day... I have been working long hours so I rush home today from all excited that I would finally get a chance to set my Frigidaire Ice Maker up finally..I was really excited...After putting the machine up per the manual instructions.. I 'm standing just waiting to hear that beautiful sound.. I was soon disappointed because I only 6 bullets Ice was produced.. We reread the manual and followed the recommendations but had no success. The machine keep displaying water and it's full of water just below the max.line. I have been up all night trying to get this machine working. Very Verry disappointed.. Please advise. Thanks !
