We purchased the Frigidaire 20 Cu. Ft. Garage Ready Top Freezer Refrigerator for our primary home a few years ago, and after such a great experience, buying a second one for our basement was an easy decision. What stands out most is how reliable and versatile this refrigerator is. Since it's garage ready, it performs consistently even with changing temperatures, making it perfect for a basement setup. We use it for extra groceries, drinks, meal prep storage, frozen foods, and additional space during holidays and family gatherings. The adjustable shelving makes organizing everything simple, whether storing tall drink containers or bulk grocery items. The freezer section is also very spacious and keeps food consistently frozen. Another feature we appreciate is how quietly it runs. The cooling performance has been excellent, and both units have been dependable from day one. This refrigerator offers the perfect balance of space, functionality, and reliability. The fact that we purchased the exact same model a second time says everything about our experience. It's an excellent choice for anyone needing dependable extra storage for a home, basement, or garage.
I bought my new fridge a month ago and I absolutely love all the space!
Overall, now that I have a working fridge, I really like it. The 'new' fridge I got turned out to be dented and was dirty inside, turns it was previously used. It was replaced but within a week I realized that neither the freezer nor fridge were getting to a safe temperature. Only at full blast could I achieve safe temperatures. Had the local handyman come in and he quickly realized that the fan in the freezer was not working. Quickly replaced the fan and fridge and top freezer work like a charm. I like this fridge, lots of room, love the larger storage areas on the door where I can now keep larger, bulkier products. Would have given 5 stars if I didn't have the issues in the beginning.
The refrigerator runs great but I would have paid just a bit more for a light in he freezer and a centre brace on glass shelves in the fridge. Also when I swing the bottom door closed, sometimes the freezer door will “puff”; opens and closes quickly?? I did not want the “bells and whistles” but I consider those identified things a necessity.
I like the extra space in this refrigerator. There is more room than in my old fridge. We had issues with levelling the refrigerator once it was in place. The rollers do not appear to be adjustable, and we had to add pieces of wood under two of them to level the fridge. It will be difficult to put the fridge back into position if we pull it out to clean behind it.
The fridge has ample room in both fridge and freezer. The door has enough room for large containers. Overall a good fridge but the only thing I found was that it is a loud fridge when it is running.
Great fridge will recommend for space and great looks
The deli drawer easily cracked. And warrenty ran out before I could replace. The thermometer needed a warranty replacement. The fridge portion tends to freeze the food at the back. Causing food to go bad. Other aspects are the freezer is good. Its cold. But the design tends to cause the fridge portion to cool too much at the back. I wouldn't buy again.
The Fridge is a good amount of space and seems to work well. I was not happy that the freezer had no light. It was also odd that every time I closed the Freezer door, the fridge door would pop open. A service person visited and made a part removal/adjustment. This is a known effect of a previous fix at the manufacturing level. Either remove the part, and the Freezer door loses the auto-close or keep as is. We chose to remove part, and we have to be conscious to close the Freezer door tightly every time.
It is a well laid out fridge with the shelves and drawers. Really like the full deli drawer. It's seems fairly quiet. The real test and review will be how long it will last. My last fridge, which was a Whirlpool only lasted 3 years! Complete garbage! So Frigidaire, hope you have had made a product that will actually last for a while. Here's hoping.
