I grew up in Indonesia and visited many countries where these were sold in the open markets. We valled them krupeks/krupuks...Not as perfectly fresh as those...but good nonetheless. The only Asian market here doesn't sell them. They were very good.
Just like the chips you get in Thai restaurant with a soup course! Easy to make, too. So glad I found them and can make them at home.
I usually buy shrimp snacks from the Asian store but decided to try these. They were easy to make and a nice snack. The kids loved them.
Ate this as a kid and am glad my kids can also have this snack and love it a lot.
I have been looking for these in specialty shops and have never found the authentic ones like these. I was so excited to get them and try them out! They did not disappoint 🥳🙄 I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys prawn crackers, these are EXCELLENT
It's too much work to fry and time consuming. Some of them doesn't even cook properly. For the quality value snd time you would be better off buying ready cooked products and ready to eat.
While the brand I buy was from a Asian Import Store, is no longer available. I really missed these Shrimp Crackers and decided to give this brand a try. Once the oil was hot, it poofed (puffed) quickly! However, it does not have much of a shrimp taste! That which my family was craving for! It's colorful, yes, but for the taste, my grands came up and asked me "Where's the shrimp flavor"? Will have to look around for an Asian Store to find that brand I always got, because they had real shrimp taste!
Didn't realize it had MSG therefore I wouldn't buy again. Going to throw away rest of box, sad really. Plus my son didn't really care for the taste, he was looking forward to having them but once we fried them up they didn't meet his expectations, too bland and not as crunchy as he was hoping.
I've eaten a lot of shrimp chips because I really like them. But this one was very disappointing. I couldn't even finish chewing it much less swallow it. The flavor was very bad.
Can't give a proper review. Fedex delivered it to the wrong house. Walmart said they will deliver more to me. When I receive them, I'll leave a review then.
