I use this to season oven-fried dinner fries. Coat cut-up potatoes with canola oil in a large ziplock bag, add thegarluc seasoning mix, seal the bag and coat potatoes. Spray a cookie sheet with oil, place potatoes single layer on pan. bake around 15 minutes at 400°. YUMMY.
This is super easy to make, just add the vinegar, water, and vegetable or olive oil. I make it in one of the Good Seasons bottles that has the measurements already on it. Tastes much better than the already made dressings. Has a nice garlic and herb flavor. I've also used it as a dressing on cold pasta salads and cucumber tomato salads.
My wife uses this to make her salad dressing and she loves it. It comes highly recommended; however, I am a ranch dressing man myself.
This dressing makes a great garlic salad dressing. I still add more fresh minced garlic because I like it hot.
I don't use this as a salad dressing. I use it to season beef tips. I put cut up beef in my crock pot, add a packet or two of this seasoning and cook on high for about 4 hours. Makes the best beef!
By changing the water/oil ratio, you have a great tasting LOW CALORIE marinade and salad dressing. It has a very fresh taste, too. Using a GoodSeasons marked glass container, I fill with vinegar to the V, add water up to the oil marking, pour in the dry ingredients and swizzle it around, and finally add a small amount of oil so the dressing/marinade will stick to the salad, chicken, pork, etc.
I use the good seasons, garlic dressing in place of the now defunct good seasons French dressing which my mother used to use and things like potato salad and pasta salads. I do the same. It just adds another layer of flavor to things and perks everything else up.
I love this because it tastes great and I can use olive oil to make it. I was trying to avoid seed oils, especially soybean, but almost all of the premade salad dressings are made with it. I substitute half the oil with water to make it lower in calories, as directed on the package.
WE love garlic on about everything and we are German
very good used as a salad dressing
