This jar is perfectly sized! The Garlic form is minced. Great for sauces, great to add on - such as meatloaf, the texture is perfect! You can even use a small amount with onion when you pan fry the Calf Liver! Garlic's good for you! Eat more Garlic!
Great Value Minced Garlic in Extra Virgin Olive Oil is one of those products I never want to be without. There is always a bottle in the door of my fridge, ready to go whenever I need it. What I love most is what happens when it hits the pan. It cooks down into a wonderfully mild garlic flavor that adds real savory depth to whatever you're making. It never feels sharp or overpowering, just that rich, satisfying garlic taste that makes a dish come together. The convenience factor is huge too. No peeling, no dicing, no sticky fingers. I just open the jar and toss in what I need. And once opened, it keeps well in the refrigerator for a long time, so there is no pressure to use it up quickly. For something I reach for as often as this, that kind of simplicity and shelf life makes a real difference. If you cook with garlic regularly, keep a bottle of this on hand. You'll wonder how you got along without it.
Aloha If you love garlic this is the best way to go that will last longer is easily used for cooking it lasts me an entire month and it is great on everything.
This garlic in olive oil is great. It retains it's natural flavor over garlic packed in water by a huge margin. Once I tried it I never returned to using the water pack garlic. I've been buying it now for about 2 years and am glad I found it.
I cook with a lot of garlic and I have found the Great Value brand equal to if not superior than many brand named garlic sold. It's strength is consistent and it holds very well. It is a good value for the money.
now this is good stuff...in olive oil preserve but not oily, it's fresh, tasty and easy...and inexpensive...can't beat that plus lasts a long time in fridge
So much easier when cooking. I prefer the fresh garlic, but as empty nesters, we do not cook large meals that often, so buying the cloves makes no sense. This is an easy and fast go to for our meals.
I ordered the garlic in olive oil ONLY. We have always purchased it with olive oil in Walmart forever. I wish they would stock it back on the shelves. The garlic in water does not blend well with our spanish style of cooking. We will continue to purchase with Walmart as long as you don't ever substitute the olive oil for water.
I didn't like that water was added to the minced garlic in olive oil - I thought it affected the taste of the garlic. I found there was not a strong garlic taste or smell as I would have expected. I like the concept - it would make cooking a bit faster and easier than peeling and mincing fresh garlic by hand, the the lack of good taste negated that. Sorry - i was just disappointed.
This is very convenient since you dont have to chop garlic cloves by hand and you can store it in the fridge for multiple uses. The value is great because you get a huge jar for a low price. But the taste was off. It was very sour and ruined the meal I made.
