Great Value Organic Coconut Sugar, 32 oz

Three factors led me to try this for the first time - hearing how this sugar is much lower on the glycemic index, that it has some good vitamins and minerals sugar can not offer, and the GV price is reasonable. I am conflicted with the issue of buying an imported sweetener vs. the US grown beet sugar but I think there is room for both in a well stocked larder. I actually used this to sugar up some diced fresh strawberries- the liquid that forms with this is brown but you can get used to that real quick and the flavor is almost like maple syrup. The appearance of the raw product is dry and chalky looking, even more so than dark brown sugar, but it does not clump because there is no moisture from molasses. Highly recommended if you have not tried it thanks to the competitive GV price.

Trying to replace flavored coffee creamer with more natural ingredients. This great value organic coconut sugar is perfect for sweetening my coffee. Has a delicious flavor, wonderful aroma and perfect texture. I used this along with great value coconut milk and will definitely be switching from artificial flavored coffee creamer to coconut sugar and coconut milk in my great value instant coffee from here on out. I enjoy the Great Value coconut sugar in coffee, cereal, bbq sauce, sprinkled on strawberries, toast and cinnamon and anything else sugar or brown sugar can be used. I really like the taste. Its taste is similar to caramel. More flavorful than white sugar and brown sugar. I use the same 1:1 ratio and it dissolves like regular sugar. Not keto, and is pricier than white sugar, But prefer the flavor over other sweeteners so It's a staple for me.

A better switch from white sugar and most sugar substitutes, it is as sweet with no after taste and is not a highly processed product, coconut sugar is one of 3 types of sugar that will not raise or spike your glucose levels, pure maple and Dates are the other 2, this has a nice texture and can be used in anything you normally use sugar in or on, great for baking, you can also turn it into a finer or even powdered sugar, by pulsing it in a blender with a teaspoon or 2 of Non GMO cornstarch.

Hands down the best sugar and the energy boost it gives is unlike anything else, once you try real coconut sugar you just cannot go back to using anything else.

If you don't want a lot of sugar in your food and drinks, this is the product to use, doesn't raise blood sugar and tastes great, I love coconut anyway.

The sugar is light brown, not dark brown like the photo shows! Had I seen an accurate photo I would have chosen a different brand. I have not tasted it yet, but doubt that it will taste like the brown coconut sugar that I have been using and have been enjoying.

Very disappointed in the poor quality of this coconut sugar. Very fine, powdery substance, dry with hard rock like clumps. I had to pound it on the counter to loosen it up. I will never buy their brand again, but wanted to compare it to the Madhava brand, which is what I usually buy. Thankfully! They carry the Madhava brand too, which comes in a 3 pound bag and ends up being cheaper in the long run, and much better quality.l and taste

The coconut sugar was hard as a brick. I figured it was old and I was afraid to use it. I forgot about it after I opened it and didn't get to return it. I would need t recommend it to anyone.

I've bought coconut sugar for years but this one is horrible. I can't even stand the taste it's too chunky and the sweetness is a weird taste like it's got chemicals in it. not good
