Great Value Organic Coconut Sugar, 32 oz

I have used this product for years and began using it when I was trying to find an alternate sugar source that would not cause a sugar spike. I use this weekly making a special iced tea that my grandchildren call, “Grammy's Tea. I also use it wherever I used to use sugar, and my coffee in my hot tea, etc. I highly recommend this sugar. Just note that sometimes some of the particles will separate and sit on the bottom of the container I just stir it up and all is well.

Trying to cut sugar without using a substitute that is artificial or has that crappy artificial taste. I just found out about Coconut Sugar and how it's a better option on the glycemic index and allows me to add a bit of sweetness to my Coffee still without spiking my blood sugar so much! I'm not diabetic but boarder-line and this helps. Great flavor, slightly reminds me of a super light brown sugar taste(super light hint) and this brand doesn't clump up like another brand I tried before finding this. It dissolves nicely in hot (haven't tried in cold drinks yet) and seems to help on my keto journey. This is the MOST affordable organic Coconut Sugar for the size of bag I've found on the market for the high quality I get in this bag. This brand will definitely be a staple in my pantry from now on!

This is the best price I've found on organic coconut sugar. I use it instead of white granulated sugar. Lesser evil swap and adds a depth of flavor to baking

If you don't want a lot of sugar in your food and drinks, this is the product to use, doesn't raise blood sugar and tastes great, I love coconut anyway.

Great Value Organic Coconut Sugar, 2 lbs has an awesome taste. I really like the flavor of Coconut so I have tried this sugar in several things. I tried it in my coffee first and it was a bit too much. My tea is more so bland so it gave a really nice hit of Coconut. I've used it in my homemade sugar cookies and it blended well, baked well and actually was better than the white sugar I normally use. I like that this is an Organic sugar and that when I put it in the right foods or drinks it adds to enhancing their flavor.

A better switch from white sugar and most sugar substitutes, it is as sweet with no after taste and is not a highly processed product, coconut sugar is one of 3 types of sugar that will not raise or spike your glucose levels, pure maple and Dates are the other 2, this has a nice texture and can be used in anything you normally use sugar in or on, great for baking, you can also turn it into a finer or even powdered sugar, by pulsing it in a blender with a teaspoon or 2 of Non GMO cornstarch.

Granulated white sugar is 4 grams of carbs per 1 teaspoon serving. Brown sugar is 8 grams of carbs per 2 teaspoon serving. This coconut sugar is 9 grams of carbs per 2.5 teaspoon serving. Though they're all about the same in carb count, they're supposed to be different in how the body processes them. Coconut sugar is supposed to be a good alternative to “table” sugar because it gets processed in the body differently. The claims are that It has a lower glycemic index due to having health benefits of coconut - fiber, minerals and antioxidants. This means that it's supposed to not raise the glucose levels in your body so as to trigger insulin release, which is probably helpful for those watching out for that. Whether coconut sugar is a healthier alternative to “table” sugar versus other products on the market is an extremely personal and individual decision. Just because it works well for Sally down the street, doesn't mean it will work for you. For me, it didn't cause energy dips the way “table” sugar does. And that speaks to something. As for taste, this sugar is like a cross between white granulated and brown sugars with a slightly bigger bent towards brown sugar in texture and flavor. I've used it in baked goods and in drinks and it sweetened them without being syrupy sweet. It is not a strong sweet flavor like white sugar is, and it's not a deep sweet flavor like brown sugar. Instead, it's like a more gentler version of brown sugar. It's also not like “diet” sugar in that it has a funny aftertaste. I found that it changed the consistency of the batter of my baked goods but the final baked outcome came out delicious.

Positive - low price per ounce. Negative - sugar has smokey burnt and slight bitter taste. Same flavor will overwhelm your dish...like making strawberry jam...in oatmeals, etc. For Walmart buyer, please relay to manufacturer to don't over boil/process palm nectar.

The sugar is light brown, not dark brown like the photo shows! Had I seen an accurate photo I would have chosen a different brand. I have not tasted it yet, but doubt that it will taste like the brown coconut sugar that I have been using and have been enjoying.

Delivery was unacceptable, leaving it at the street outside. MyGate, there is a mailbox right there. They could have put it in, or they can just throw it over the fence. But usually, any delivery driver leaves it at my front door on my patio.So please next time they need to do this
