Great Value Parsley Flakes, 2.7 oz

I like shopping at Walmart. It’s very convenient especially with Instacart. Usually the person is doing your grocery shopping. I will give them a 95 and also if your food is damaged or missing, they don’t argue with you Instacart automatically give you a refund.

I bought the 2.7 oz container of Great Value Parsley Flakes because I got tired of buying fresh parsley only to watch it turn into sad, wilted mush in the fridge after three days. Dried parsley isn't exciting, but it's reliable. When I opened the container, the smell was mild but definitely green and herbal—not dusty or stale. The flakes are a decent size, not ground down to powder like some brands. You can actually see what you're adding. I've used it mostly as a finishing touch on things that needed a little color and a whisper of freshness. Sprinkled on roasted potatoes, stirred into pasta salad, mixed into meatballs. It doesn't add a ton of flavor the way fresh parsley would, but it does add something. Think of it as a background note rather than a star player. One thing I appreciate: no stems. Every now and then I'd find a tiny piece of stem in a cheaper brand, but this one seems to be mostly leaf. The container has a shaker top with holes that are actually the right size for parsley flakes. No shaking violently just to get a few specks out. My only complaint is that the flavor fades pretty quickly after opening. The first few weeks, it had a nice herbal brightness. By week six, it was noticeably duller. I'm hoping the rest of the jar holds up, but I've started using it more generously to compensate. If you need parsley for looks and a hint of green flavor, this works fine. Just don't expect fresh herb magic.

We cook with a lot of parsley flakes in soups, casseroles, on meat and chickens, in parsley potatoes and cooked vegetables and in homemade salad dressing. This Great Value brand is the same as any name brand.

From school days, I remember the school cafeteria cooks talking about how advantageous parsley would be to the diets of us kids. They started serving parsley potatoes at school with some of the meals, and it was one of my favorite lunch side dishes.

I understand that this is sold by weight, however, the bottle was only 2/3 full and even then was mostly DUST with a few broken pieces of stems. Not a good presentation and disappointing to receive. I personally mostly use a sprinkle of parsley "just for pretty", but this aint so pretty. IDK. It has a dusty smell that I am guessing will NOT enhance my food.

This item was received with the seal attached-but please look at how much is ACTUALLY in this $5.00 plus item. I understand items settling/but this amount appears to be a problem in the packing process.

Got it as it seemed my best option for the price and got it delivered to my home, realized every item was okay but this one was sealed and only halfway filled. This isn’t what it’s advertised. Saw other reviews complaining about the same thing.

Item was missing in my order. Never delivered! There is no refund notice yet even though I did complain to customer service!! I'm out 10dollars now for the 3 missing items not delivered. This is the 4th order in less than a week with serious delivery problems!!

very disappointed. container was less than 3/4 full. container I have been using for awhile has just as much left in it. container on the right is unopened(new). 😳👎

I couldn't attach a picture but why is my sealed container not full? It was only 3/4 of the way full of parsley. This feels like a rip off... I should've just purchased a bunch of the little spice containers.
