Great Value Strawberry Preserves, 30 oz

Really good flavor and great consistency. The jelly spread easily and tasted sweet without being overpowering. It was perfect on toast, peanut butter sandwiches, and even biscuits. Good quality for the price and something we would definitely buy again.

Why spend more for a name! This strawberry preserves is fantastic! Use in desserts, sandwiches, on ice cream! Great on a bagel with great value cream cheese or mix together with cream cheese as a sweet cracker or bagel topping! Delicious!!!! Stir into yogurt. Super yummy!

These preserves are delicious. It doesn't have any chunks of strawberry in it which I prefer so be aware. It taste just like strawberry. It's a bit hard to spread but makes for a delicious sandwich or breakfast. Great on waffles too! Definitely nice for the price.

This is my husband's favorite strawberry preserves! He loves how fresh it tastes! It is delicious on toast, peanut butter %26 jelly and on a biscuit! Great for a snack anytime!

I appreciate air-tight food containers but would rather not get out hand tools to open them. This lid is not easy to get off. After many struggles I developed a somewhat quick method. Turn the lid to open as far as you can (it will usually stop because the red plastic is not breaking). Do this once or more until you see a crack in the perforation of the red plastic bottom part of the lid. Use the bottom of a spoon/fork to bang on the perforations around the lid to crack them all. Turn lid again to pop the top off. Viola. Then go rest.

I admit was a bit hesitant, but this was really good!! I was pleasantly surprised!! Definitely quality preserves!! Now if they would make a Blueberry, Please??!!

Even though I only gave this item 3 stars, the difference in price to the name brand keeps me buying it. I will tell you majority of the strawberry preserves don't honestly know that preserves should mean the consistency shouldn't be ground up strawberries. That to me signifies jam not preserves. I was taught preserves means sliced in half or quarters strawberries. But for the price….Hey!

Honestly, maybe if I wasn't expecting strawberry flavor, I could be more positive. I'm not sure what the flavor is, but it doesn't taste like strawberry to me. I gave this a try because GV usually is comparable to most items and I was hoping to save a little, but I won't buy it again as it's nowhere near the strawberry goodness I get from the name brand.

I got used to the strawberry preserves I have always gotten from a different store. not that I thought this one was substandard, but the other brand looks and tastes better. It spreads easier too. This one comes stuck to the scoop and doesn't want to leave its glob. so I usually fold the toast in half. I don't know how price compares. That may be the deciding factor.

The preserves are so stiff it will not spread. its like a medium-hard gummy. I tried mixing ut to loosen it up and it is still just as stiff. Not juicy. And the taste isn't good. It is mildly reminiscent of strawberries, but tastes more like rotten strawberries. Was a browish red color
