Great Value® Ultra Power® Ice Melt 40 lb Infused w/Calcium & Potassium Chloride, Corrosion Inhibitor

This was my first time buying and using Great Value Ice Melt. I usually purchase a different brand. I was really pleasantly surprised at how well it worked! I really liked that with the blue color, I could tell exactly where the ice melt was when sprinkled on the icy/snowy driveway. This ice melt lived up to its name - Great Value!

I think the prices for salt/ice melt are over priced, but unfortunately, it's a necessity, so I have no choice but to pay it. I just think it's terrible how the public is forced to pay astronomical prices for just about everything now.

This 40lb bag of Great Value ice melt is my go-to solution every winter. It handles the typical ice and freezing rain quickly, and I appreciate that it seems to work effectively even when the temperature drops seriously low. The granules are easy to spread straight from the bag, and it doesn't leave behind a crazy amount of messy white residue compared to some other brands, which is a huge plus for keeping the entryway clean. For the quantity you get and how quickly it cuts through the thick ice on my walkways and driveway, the value is excellent, and it genuinely saves me a ton of chipping and scraping time.

A little goes along way. Works well! Spread it lightly after shoveling and the driveway is clear, no snow, no ice, no slips or falls. Improves the safety of all those in your home or coming over to your home. Also, it is in a tough strong bag. You don't have to worry about puncturing and it spilling.

This ice melt actually works. I used it on my driveway and sidewalks. It melted the snow and ice as expected. All you need to do is get a scooper or a cup and throw it down. It was easy to spread. My dog has stepped on it while going out to the bathroom and she hasn't had any negative reactions but I still limit exposure to very minimal.

Easy to use and effective at keeping ice off driveway and walkways. Used a hand spreader which holds about 3-4 lbs of ice melt. Spread easily with the device due to the consistency of the ice melt. Some of the other rock salt types I've used before get jammed in the spreader and requires some manipulations. Not so with this product. Minor amounts of dusting of the ice melt but overall it maintained its size and consistency.

I bought this right before a big snow storm, and was so happy to have it on hand when needed. The price (with delivery) was amazing, and the prices sky rocketed during and after the storm, so I got a great value by purchasing in a low demand time period. The product is easy to use and works very well. Just get it before you need it!

I ordered this ice melt for a few reasons! First, I've used it for a couple of years and it works really well! Second, by ordering for pick up I had a very courteous young woman bring it to my car and put it in my trunk😉 This meant that I did not have to carry 40 pounds to my car, and also take it out of my trunk! I only had to do the latter! Thank you Walmart for the convenience of “pick up”!! This works great, doesn't harm my driveway or sidewalks, and I would certainly recommend it!

This is an excellent ice melt! Unlike disolving salt. you can see where you've thrown this in a snowy area, like unshoveled outside stairs or walkways. Saves wasting ice melting pellets like rock salt, which is really hard to see. My mom and i recommend this item!

Good product. I really like it. Works well. SUGGESTION ON PACKAGING: these bags need handles on them for easy transport. I received one, out of the two bags ordered, with a hole in it. These bags are 40lbs. They are not light. Too messy and a pain to return.
