This kettle is fast and I like that I can see the water boiling. The only thing I did not like was that on my old one the cord would exit the base thru holes on either side and the back. The H.B. cord only enters from the front limiting how I can place it on the counter. The previous kettle I could grab with my right hand. This one was more arkward, But after a little shifting, it now feels natural and for the price and the fact that my toaster, toaster oven, microwave and mixer are all black, my wife and I are very happy.
I absolutely love this electric kettle. It heats water very fast and I especially like the automatic turnoff feature. Ths is a great product for people who would like to get a cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa in a hurry. This kettle is also attractive in my kitchen as all my appliances are black. I definately would reccomend this kettle to anyone.
I work overseas in Afghanistan and needed a water boiler for my tea, soups, coffee, etc. Most of the models I have seen are white and have the electrical cord connected to the actual water boiler. This model is black, which I prefer over white, and separates from the base so that when you lift the actual container, you are not pulling on the electrical cord. I find this model much more convenient and practical. The container is big and holds plenty of water. I am very glad I bought this model and would highly recommend it!
It heats up lots of water to boiling as fast as any other on the market. No complaints as to function. Its appearance is conservative traditional, adding nothing to the counter, so it goes into the cabinet when not in use. Generous cord. I do question the long term because it feels a little light in the hand.
It heats up water very fast for tea, hot chocolate etc. My other kettle has a metal body and I sometimes get burned when I accidentally touch it, but this one is plastic. No plastic taste in case you are worried about that.
this boils water in less than one minute. I have had it just for a few days now, and I do not think that this will last for years. Before this, I had protor silex electric kettle and used it for a few (2? maybe) years. I stopped using it because I thought it is not clean anymore. Now I am using Hamilton Beach new kettle, and boiled water does taste better (or cleaner). thanks for asking my review
This appliance would be great if you need boiled water faster, i.e. for ramen noodles. Easy to operate with just pushing a button to start. It shuts off automatically once the water boils. Good to have in the kitchen.
For the price this is a good option. I don't like the exposed coils that are in the water reservoir because I'm worried they will calcify, but we will have to wait and see. It works fine but lets itself run a little too long after boiling. We use it constantly, so I'm hoping it will be very durable. My last one, a UNIMAX brand melted the pot to the baseplate after the automatic switch stopped working. It was prettier but obviously not well made. I'm hoping this was a better choice. So far, so good.
Had this for two days. Realised that the lid handle was not very strong and it broke off when I tried to fill it!! It functions well and of course I can refill it through the spou t but it is going to be returned as soon as possible.
Shuts off when boiling is done and then in a few minutes starts recycling again. Instructions even say it will do this if there is not enough water in pot. This is a ridiculous feature. Have had several tea kettles and they shut off and don't go back on. Feels like a piece of junk.
