I have had this model in the past and wore it out (teenage son). It cooks evenly and the crust is always crunchy. I would warn you not to pile on too many of your own toppings (like I do) because if they hit the heating coils this will cause them to fail sooner than they should. I have learned my lesson this time around, and go easy with the extra cheese and veggies. Other then that it stays clean, and works great. I gave it four stars for the price because it has gone up quite a bit since my last one. But, in my opinion it is still worth it, especially when a regular pizza parlor cheese pizza is over $25 now. I like to use this for my thin crust $6 Wegmans specialty pizza's. I get 4 different pizzas for the same price as one friggen cheese pizza.
We love this brand and design of pizza cooker so much that I bought it again after our previous one quit working and the Betty Crocker brand I bought after just wasn't as good. I love to make small batches of cookies in this pizza cooker because the texture is so good. As long as the food item isn't too tall the pizza cooker does an excellent job cooking it. I like that you can adjust the temperature as well as the time. I also enjoy watching the window into the cooker as the food turns round and round.
I bought this product because of the positive reviews. This machine is GREAT!! I have used it almost every day since it arrived. Everything from frozen to fresh dough pizza, frozen biscuits, left overs, and everything I can think of. It is wonderful & simple to use. The fish tenders were a huge hit with the grandkids and the potato coins cooked at the same time. If they come out with a 14 inch or larger model, I am getting it!
I have used several pizza cookers but this is the best yet. No pre heating is necessary. You put the Pizza on the rotating platter and heating elements, in the rear half above and below the pizza do the cooking. The heating elements are regulated and turn on and off to maintain proper temperature. The pizza cooks in about the same time, maybe a little quicker, than in a pre heated oven, but comes out ready to eat, not burning hot. The windows in the cooker's top let you see the pizza as it cooks so you can avoid overcooking. For some reason, pizza seems to taste better when cooked this way.
Works great for Jalapeno poppers and other snack foods. You can put several different foods in it at the same time and will be enough for 2 or 3 people. Is large enough to make anyone happy. Much better than a Pizzaz for cooking pizza. And the price in also better.
Owned one of the big square pizza oven for years. Wanted something that didn't take up so much counter top. This one sits on top of my microwave when not in use. All I have made in it so far is pizza & cheesy garlic bread. It worked very well. Nice not to heat up big oven & house when air conditioning is running. ;)
I bought this for my granddaughter and she made pizza for her mother and her mom said that the Walmart brand of pizza dough was not good. She said that the pizza dough from H.E.B. is much better.
Works well I wish the heating coil covered more surface area on the pizza. The outside edge gets crispy and browned while the center isn't browned evenly. I added more cooking time but I don't want to burn the crust or outside to brown the center. It does what I need I to without heating up the entire house, it's going out to the camper in the spring .
It has exposed red hot wires in top and bottom and rotates, very dangerous and not depicted in the presentation so I returned it UNUSED; i gave it 3 stars bc i never used it; but, it deserves zero stars for safety and false marketing ( failed to disclose open heating wires in lid and below pizza pan which will make it harder to keep clean to).
The pizza maker doesn't seem to heat up to the temperature it says it does. It took more than 22 minutes to cook the pizza. This doesn't work if you need more than one pizza. The crust got crunchy and the texture was good but it takes longer than it says it will.
