Yesterday I found myself in a pinch and needed a coffee grinder so I ran up to Walmart and found this on clearance for seven dollars. When I got home, immediately used it, and have to say that this was a great purchase. The unit is small but still has enough room in the grinding chamber to get the job done. The Grinding chamber is detachable so you can properly clean it without having to worry about compromising the base unit. It also has a hidden cord compartment at the base of the unit that you pull down onto open and then push back up to close, a great option for aesthetics! 10-15 seconds is all you need to get the perfect consistency of grounds. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone considering it!
We were satisfied with the ease in selecting a grinder online for Same Day Store Pickup. With travel to our three closest Walmart stores each at least 40 minutes away, we were able to locate the grinder in 1 town, making that our store to shop for the rest of our needs. We were looking for a spice grinder as our coffee grinder specified 'not for use on spices'. This grinder has proven perfect for our needs, (we grind chia and flax seeds). Easy to use. Easy to Clean. HIGHLY recommended.
I purchased this at a time of absolute necessity- My other long time grinder's blade broke off during the grinding of my next mornings coffee- So I needed one ASAP!- and this model was available for In-Store Pickup. When I tried this for the first time- I was skeptical as it has a removable cup for the beans (with the grinder blade in it)- but it turns out to be one of the best little inventions possible. It is much easier than having to turn over the entire grinder to empty it into my coffee pot, just remove the cup and pour. It is also VERY QUIET for a grinder- You don't have to worry about waking up the whole house if you grind your coffee at early morning hours. It also has a great cord storage on the bottom which holds almost the entire cord (just the plug remains).
So far, this grinder has worked great. I use it everyday to grind up fresh coffee beans. I only have two problems with the use of it, and they really aren't major issues. Just me being picky. I have a little trouble getting the lid on. You have to line it up just right with the grooves on the top of the machine. And the other one is that it only grinds on one speed, so you really have to pay attention to how long you push the button. I have ground coffee beans down to almost espresso powder, but it still brews up just fine in the coffee maker. If you want a low-cost bean grinder, this is it. Just be careful when you are done, sometimes the lid does want to come off after you grind the beans. Especially if it's tipped or moved too much. The hidden cord "wrapped" around a drop-down base is a very nice feature as well. For a beginner, or a fresh ground coffee enthusiast, this is a perfect appliance.
Had one just like this that I was using. I dropped the top and it broke . So I ordered a new one. These work great to grind coffee beans just for the 2 of us. It was easy to order and it arrived just in time when I needed to grind more coffee. It works great to grind a small amount of beans. would recommend. motor works great. Easy to clean. Most times grinding more coffee it cleans itself. I like the cord that can be detracted or extended as needed. The blades seem to last a long time. I have never had to replace the blades.
More and more I kept finding great deals on coffee, but they were always whole bean! I found a large bag of Starbucks whole bean coffee on sale in Costco and decided then I needed to cave and get a grinder. I'm so glad I found this one on a whim! I always read reviews before I buy anything, and this seemed overall positive. I was definitely not disappointed. This little thing is more powerful than it looks and very easy to clean. My tip is to NOT get it wet at all. It wipes down just fine with a dry paper towel around the cup and the blades. It keeps everything from getting ruined by moisture and keeps the blades sharp (be careful, because I've learned the hard way). I've also used it to grind coriander, black pepper, and oats and I imagine if would work well for small nuts too. It's been almost a year of using it on and off, and it still works just like out of the box. The cord keeper on the bottom is a great bonus too.
I bought this coffee grinder for my mom for a Christmas present, she loves it, it's so convenient to have the take out grinder cup, instead of having to unplug it and dump the coffee in. My mom has only had it a week, so I am not sure what she thinks about it just yet, but so far, it works great.
very nice for the price. not sure about the durability yet haven't had it very long. its easy to clean & put away. I'm using it for a spice grinder & I have found that the dust from the spices seem to get wedged into the nooks & crannies of the appliance.
This was one of the least expensive grinders I could find on the internet, and so far it has worked pretty well. There is no variable setting for how course the grind is, but after you use it a couple of times, you figure out how long to let it spin for your preferred level of grounditude. The lid is pretty simple and doesn't get stuck, because you don't have to twist it, it just fits on. You pull out the bottom to expose the cord wrapped up inside, which makes it pretty tidy to store. If you don't grind every day, this is the perfect one to get for some-of-the-time projects like grinding spices or dried herbs for tea.
This coffee grinder works great. A bit messy when you have to empty out the grounds and it is quiet. I would recommend this to a friend or even as a gift. Love it.
