i am not really.a big fan of the no salt stuff but the ketchup really surprised me it had a very pleasant tadte to it.iI have high bloodnpresuure in medicine but still have isuues so i have tonbe on.low sodium diet and i love ketchup on most anything so jusy could not stand thoughts of giving it up totally so i tried it and like i said it really surprise me .It is my new go to for ketchup only wish it came in a little bigger bottle so i usually buy 2 bottles at a time if in buget for the times i need it
I will be honest. I was not a fan at first. But it was my first taste of no salt ketcup. I made it through the meal, it wasn't the end of the world. Fast forward to now, and I prefer it over reg ketcup. Any little bit of low sodium helps. Because they add up when it comes it sauces and condiments. And sometimes you just have to have ketcup. One can not have potato wedges or sliders without ketcup.
Flavorful and meets sodium expectations. Have been using this for a long time. Price is absurd lately but still cheapest in town without a good sale. Has increased in price from around $3 to $5 with this economy. Sorry that it does not come in a larger container. Also, there are always mixed expiration dates (by months or more) on the shelf as stockers don't seem to keep older inventory in front. Lately have been using curbside picku and evidently my shopper doesn't look at the dates either as I received two very different dated ones on last purchase. Like the flavor and sodium content so worthwhile to me.
I finally found a store that carries the Heinz no salt ketchup. I found this a few years back at Hy-Vee and they discontinued it then I found it at Eagles supermarket and they also discontinued it. It's the best no salt ketchup I have found the taste is great. It's perfect for someone who has to be on a very low to no sodium diet. However, the cost is a little higher than most ketchup in that size bottle. It would be nice if they could lower the price, especially since it is lacking salt and ingredient that's in other ketchup so it should be less priced not priced more than the other size bottle ketchup
Feeling the pinch of a sodium restricted diet or just want to cut back on salt intake? This is great stuff. We've been using this for several years and are never disappointed. It may not be for everyone but we like it.
I was very happy to find this ketchup because I am on a salt restricted diet. The taste is really good and I don't miss the salt. Usually tomato products without salt are bad but this is really good.
It's not the greatest, but what is without salt?? Having said that, it's a great substitute for those of us on a sodium free diet. A little sweet (no salt for balance), but worked great in a meatloaf.
I use HEINZ ketchup on a lot of food. I have actually avoided places that used other brands. (I have even taken a small bottle in places, Which didn't go over well.) I was put on a low sodium diet, this all but killed my ketchup foods.) I ran across this and I was skeptical. I used it. I notice a difference between regular and the no salt. Much to my surprise it is still better than an other brands and is very close to the original in taste. Now I can eat ketchup foods and not have to worry about sodium in the ketchup. HEINZ, TAKE A BOW!
Way too small for the Price! They don't have to add extra salt, but YOU have to Pay Twice as much per oz.??? Seems like another Hugh scam, passed onto the consumer!!!!
My bad for not paying attention to 'actual' ounces as well as my task of defensive shopping to proof all the ingrediants listed on 'large bottle image' presented. A high price to pay just asking for one 'less' ingrediant (no salt). I would hope mega companies such as Heinz whom we have supported for 'years' would actually partner with us for better health instead of hitting our pocket every chance they get when we ask for 'less'. To be fair... they do give 'less ingrediants', bravo! But with it comes a double whammy with 'less product overall' plus! they charge 'more'! I can only assume they deem the products as 'luxury request' items when we ask for NO Salt, NO MSG, NO High Fructose Corn Syrup, NO artificial Sweetners or Dyes, etc; I'll own the 'raise of my eyebrow' reaction at first sight of the small little bottle. I know the 'less than 2 cups' for the same price as triple size 'with salt' will be tasty... it's the only reason I return to Heinz. But honestly, I expect to pay more for less when I purchase a 'gourmet' product but let's be real... your charging a gourmet price for a standard product (not organic) and sub-standard amount when I can easily make it myself, check the box on ROI and keep the accolades for myself rather than pay for Heinz 'plus' market for them everytime we use a labeled product. WoW! Sure glad I laid the facts out like this... makes it all the more 'real'.
