The value is amazing. Lifetime warranty plus once registered they will send reminders to sharpen. Henkel site has tips for care. Stainless steel sharp professional knives. Absolutely the best.
Very sharp for ease of cutting, the knives do all the work. Easy grip wooden handles. I haven't had a problem with hand slipping.
I ordered two different cheaper sets of Henckels knives than what I have to see if I could use them for gifts. One set made in India was not worth the money paid… very cheap materials that would rust and stain easily. I have to say these, the Everpoints, are a great starter set! They are still about half the weight of the ones I have had over 15 years, but I also spent a lot more on them. I would recommend these to anyone as a gift or a nice set for yourself.
overall i am not so happy.
This is a really nice knife set. For an affordable knife block set I think they look really good and are very sharp. So far I've used them on tomatoes, steak, carrots, onions, and green peppers. It was a breeze to cut through all of them, and you can effortlessly get paper thin slices with this knife set. Like I said, very sharp. The knives have some weight to them, they are not cheap feeling or looking. No, these are not professional chef grade... however, if you are like me and you’re prepping and cooking 3 meals a day, these are an excellent option! These are perfect for home use. I would, hands down, recommend this knife set.
I cannot say enough good things about these knives. They’re made well, durable and work so well. I don’t know why we didn’t buy them sooner.
I have a set of these knives and I wanted to give one as a gift. They range so greatly in prices and size, but this was just right in both categories.
This is a very good looking set. The handles are sturdy and the blades are sharp. I definitely wish the knives were numbered, so that one could easily place them in their appropriate slot. Although the slots are not hard figure out, that would be nice. The wood block is of great quality and I would definitely recommend this product.
They are good value for money, but I'm not blown away by most of the knives in the set. The Chef and santoku knives overall are pretty sharp and cut a lot of things very well - raw chicken breast, vegetables, stew. But not a single knife in the set does a good job with tomatoes. Especially small ones like Cherry or Grape tomatoes. The serrated knife really does not work that well with breads. Soft bread it basically squishes and tears it. If it weren't for the Chef and Santoku knives, I'd probably have returned the set.
One of the steak knives has already started to show rust spots and we have only had the set for a few months. It was about 15 years before our prior set began to rust. I'm so disappointed.
