Bruises, A Parting Gift
It's not meant for more than 25 pounds on each side. The belt could technically hold more BUT there is not enough slack in the straps to prevent the dumbbells from digging into your thighs/hips. I have bruises. if there was enough slack, so that the dumbbells could "sit" past the full width of my side hip/glutes, I might keep it even if it only held 60 pounds bc THEN it would be a good entry level thrust belt, but AS IT IS NOW, NO. I'M heavy set, no doubt, but if you're going to promote a belt that promises a total dumbbell weight tolerance of more than 100 pounds then it needs to super comfortable in order to do that. Again, I have literal bruises. For now, I'll continue to hip thrust using a single dumbbell and a modified cut up yoga mat as my padding while I continue the search for a hip thrust belt that sits past the hips and glutes and doesn't bang into me.
