This is my second time purchasing these bulbs, I've liked them so much. After installing all 16 bulbs from the previous box I needed more to finish changing out our 60W incandescent bulbs but waited for them to be on sale again. The soft white is warm and very comparable in color to the incandescents they are replacing. The bulbs are a bit brighter than the incandescent bulbs as well, but not too much so. I've actually found I like the increased lighting in most places even though I had never felt the light insufficient before getting these bulbs. The price-per-bulb also can't be beat, and so far none of the bulbs purchased in the first box have become duds, so reliability seems great as well.
Excellent product that brightens up any room while saving you money. LED lights are inexpensive, do not radiate heat, and they illuminate any room better than standard bulbs. LED's have a much longer life span too. Once you have tried LED's you will not return to convention light bulbs.
I was a bit concerned about the possibility of damage during shipment and the short warranty period, so I tested all the bulbs to make sure all was well. Every bulb shone brightly. I was relieved to have such bright bulbs. I am satisfied with my online purchase.
Got these to have just in case, well my granddaughter and grandson just got homes, so I split them up and gave each 8, they are really happy with it, said they are bright and don't cost that much to have on, in fact they both are getting another order for themselves. I also got one for myself this time , very good deal compared to the other stores.
I am happy with the bulbs. Bulbs are cool to the touch. I have installed them in my home office and the garage door opener. The primary reason I am happy is that it is 4 degrees cooler in my office than with traditional bulbs. The 60 watt equivalent bulbs should give me 240 watts of light in the office but I suspect it is closer to 160 - 200 watts in actuality. That is okay in the office but in the garage opener the garage is definitely not as bright...but adequate. Overall I give a 4 with a caution that if brightness is important...try one with a little more wattage equivalent. Looking at going through the whole house with them.
These bulbs work really well. The packaging was perfect and kept them from damage. However, the shipping took nearly a month AND I was charged regular price of $26 instead of the sale price of $17. By the time I received them I was so happy to finally have them that I let it go. The regular price is still a great price for this product. So if you need these in a hurry, don't expect to get them too fast.
The bulbs are labeled as"warm white" which the common term for a color temp of 3000k. "Soft white" is the term applied to a color temp of 2700k. Soft white is the slightly yellow light we are all used to. I prefer Warm White which is a whiter, less yellow color. The bulbs are actually Soft white, 2700k, which is not what I wanted. So I returned them.
I have been purchasing the energy efficient coil type bulbs for years and when they say 60 watt equivelent, that's what you get. My "night light" puts off more light than these do! We had a coil bulb burn out a few days ago so I broke open my new box of LED bulbs. The first one put off a yellow glow and I thought oh okay so we got a "dud". Tried 3 more bulbs with the same result. I'm not sure if I'm able to return them but if I can I will and will not purchase this brand ever again in the future!!! Worst light bulbs I have ever purchased.
Placed several of these into lamps in my home - one week later storm passed through that caused surge when power went out - we have LED bulbs throughout our home and the only ones impacted by the surge were the ones I had just purchased, all of which failed
Bought these bulbs for two specific installations: to be used in three bathrooms with a DIMMER, and to replace a couple outdoor enclosed porch light bulbs. However, after they arrived, I discovered that they are neither dimmable, nor can be used in an enclosed environment. That information was not included in the item description on the Web site.
