Really like the way they spurt the water like a fountain waters the flowerbed nicely in a pretty short time
Have not used yet, but it's exactly what I was looking for. Most stores only have soaker hose..
Easy to sort up and works great. Only took 2-100' to go around house.
With the winds in SD, I found the need for a way to slowly water my hedges to keep them alive and yet save water. With the sprinkler side up - I can catch a strip of 3-4 ft and most of the water goes to the plants and are not carried away in the wind. With the soaker side down, I can turn the water pressure down for a slower watering system that is more than some of the weeping round hosed soakers. The hose is light and easy to move. The only draw back is that the "water" side is not clearly marked - and one must experiment and adjust to obtain the result desired.
This is the best soaker hose for gravity fed water. The other ones require pressure to work well.
Upon opening, I decided that it felt real light weight and flimsy. It's not. The lighter material makes it easier to move around to get where you need it than the thick rubber sprinkler hoses and it works just as well. The end of the hose has a plastic dowling and clip, so you can shorten the usable length of the hose. The only real fault is no indication which side the water sprays out of. I had a twist in it when I laid it out and hooked it up. The 2 tubes of the hose swelled up and the first 20 feet had an impressive spray, the rest was spraying directly on the ground (soaker hose). The next day, after it had dried, I made marks on the side that didn't spray with a felt tip marker. I originally bought 2 to water a line of Green Giant arborvitae, but removed the one after I realized I was watering more grass than tree (trees are 12 feet apart). Decided it would be perfect for a line of 17 Emerald Green arborvitae (3 feet apart with mulch in between). 100 feet would be enough to run down both sides of the line of trees. It didn't. I removed it and measured with an engineer's tape measure and it was 97 feet. Didn't even bother opening the second one. I now water using the sprinkler wand that I use for the Green Giant. If my line of Emerald Green had been 1 or 2 trees shorter, I would have never known about the missing 3 feet and would have given it 5 stars. My line of trees next year should be shorter and will definitely use it then.
thought i was getting a good deal based upon the price and convenience of the free delivery option but i was disappointed from the first time i used the product. the sprinkler option is erratic and just sprays all over the place and not often where it is intended. the nozzle part that connects to the spigot leaks something fierce. i would have taken it back but i just was not in the mood for the hassle. i suggest that if u are interested in a product that is a soaker/sprinkler hose then choose a different brand more well known for quality and don't just choose it because it's cheaply priced.
thid is pretty expensive for what the quality is. it is very flimsy and cheaply made for $30. contacted the seller twice and no answer or communication with them. save your money.
The hose did not last long at all. The end is poorly sealed and popped open on first use. The hose itself is also made with poor quality material and is not sturdy at all.
...wow, what a bummer. The moment I connected up the first soaker hose--on medium flow--the input end literally blew off. I tried, again, with the second hose and same thing. NOT returning these to Walmart--they go back to the Andrews "hose people." How dare they even pretend that a product like this can WORK!
