The HP Laptop 15-da0053wm is a nice all-around laptop. Apart from some minor recommendations (which I'll go into later) it serves my everyday needs and more. First of all, the SSD was a major upgrade for me. It makes for an extremely fast boot-up with little to no load time on the desktop. You can just power on and go. Regarding battery life, I was able to watch 3 hrs. of continuous YouTube on 0% brightness and it only used half the battery. Watching 2hrs and 40 minutes of continuous YouTube on 50% brightness used up half of the battery. Performance was iffy, to put it gently. This laptop is not made for gaming, at least not most mid-tier or higher games. I was able to play a few mid-tier games on the lowest graphics setting comfortably and smoothly. Some tweaking could probably work but don't count on it. The trackpad right and left-click buttons are ‘thick' in certain spots. Compared to other keys, they are not as tactile and have noticeably more resistance which is kind of annoying. Both the center and above areas closer to the trackpad are tactile with a nice compromise of resistance and compliance (these spots have a nice spring to them). The bottom third of the trackpad buttons just do not want you to click them! Not sure if this is intentional or not. The mute button has an LED indicator which is great, but why not also a power button LED indicator on the keyboard? There is an LED on the side of the laptop for the power on-off icon, but who wants to crick their neck every time before closing the lid? While on balanced power setting (the default), the backlight becomes noticeably bright starting at the three-quarter mark of the brightness. I love that it has 1 Tb of space and the touch screen is also very convenient. So I have to say that this laptop serves all my needs and more. Sure, there are a couple of attributes that could be better, but none-the-less, this is an excellent laptop and I would definitely recommend it.

This HP laptop has a touch screen that is incredible to use. Windows 10 Home is the operating system with a screen display that is amazingly crisp and clear with adjustable brightness. Its Intel Core processor is lightening fast. It comes with a 1TB hard drive and plenty of memory. The silver exterior is sleek and good looking and it's very light weight. Easy to move about and do all your personal computing. Highly recommend!

I received from the spark reviewer program this HP 15 Graphite Mist Laptop 15.6" touchscreen. It has Intel Core i5. 8250u, intel UAD Graphics 620, ITB HDD & 16GB Intel Options memory, 4 GB SDRAM, DVD, 15-da 0053 WM. It has windows 10 Home, up to 10 hours and 1 minutes battery lif. This is my first laptop so I am finding out it is a lot different than my desk top computer that is 5 years old. It has a DVD writer, a front- facing HP Vision HD Webcam with an integrated digital microphone, a 15.6 inch diagonal backlit touch screen which is something I'm looking forward to using. It has a memory card reader for extra storage and 3 usb ports and features window 10 which will new for me. You can also plug in a headphone or microphone. It has a lot of new things I will have to learn. I do wish they would still give you manuals when you get new computers. It is light weight, only 4.60 lbs., so it is easy to carry with you. So for people who use a computer a lot it will have most features they may need. And for older people like me it will be interesting learning to use all the new options

HP Touchscreen Graphite Mist Laptop 15.6 is a very good laptop. The screen is as large as the laptop. I like that the touch screen is very sensitive. It comes with a DVD-Writer. The i7 processor is fast. This is a great laptop to use every day. Itt has a smooth metal finish. I like that it is thin and lightweight. The keyboard is elevated and there is room between the keys for easier typing. The mouse pad appears to be very sensitive. The speakers are very good. It is considered to be a fast charging machine, which can go from 0% to 50% in 45 minutes. There is up to 9 hours of mixed use. After you turn the laptop on, Cortana walks you through an easy set up, or you can make your own customized set up. I have only had it one day but so far no problems and I like it. The HP 15-da0033wm is your basic, everyday use, laptop. If you are a serious gamer, this is not the laptop for you. The look of it is very nice with the silver casing even though it is plastic. This laptop is lighter weight than my other one. It runs Windows 10 and has an AI named Cortana which is the laptops personal digital assistant and it is touch screen. Set up of the laptop was very easy with Cortana. Once my set up was complete, I updated everything and I was ready to go. This laptop comes with a free trial of "Drop Box" which I did not find useful but other people might. This laptop does not have a removable external battery. I am pretty tech savvy and have no issues dealing with an internal battery but if you aren't familiar with how to go about changing an internal battery, this laptop might not be for you. It has some apps installed that I found to be useless but it was no problem uninstalling them. It has plenty of storage space and a DVD/CD writer which comes in very handy when creating music discs, watching movies, and saving photos. The photo editor was easy to use. This laptop plays music with the Groove app. You can either stream music or you can allow it to play the music you have stored on your laptop. You can also install Windows Media Player if you do not wish to use Groove. It has an HDMI port, USB ports, and an SD card reader slot. It also has a port for your headphones. The battery has held up nicely. On a single charge, it lasted me several hours with continuous use. As for gaming, Minecraft was periodically lagging. Nancy Drew did fine and smaller games did well. If you have a PC game that will use a lot of resources, this is not the laptop to use. You will experience a lot of lag. Overall, this laptop is nice and does what I need it to do. Surf the internet, check email, stream music, online shopping, and the occasional game. It is a great laptop for students or for anyone with everyday typical laptop needs.

keyboard is not lit.

This is a nice computer. Easy to maneuver through. Haven't really got to try everything on it but it seems to do the jobs I want so far. The one big issue is windows 10 and Microsoft Edge internet browser. They don't work well on our slow, almost snail slow sometimes internet connection. They don't work for us. The computer operating works just fine. Easy to use. Click buttons, and such for those who like to feel the movement instead of the silent tap. The screen is a nice size easy to see. The casing is hard plastic so I wouldn't drop it. It doesn't have a lock close feature just pull open and get started. No touch screen but most of the time for those of us who use computers for pleasure forget touch screens anyways. It has many pre-programmed apps set up if you choose to use them. They are definitely trying to make computers more friendly user, just a little bit of your time to explore what it can do for you and you will be off and browsing, playing, writing , and such.

Wal-Mart sent me this computer after I bought it on March 27th 2020 from walmart.com. Then I realized the seller is not Hewlett-Packard (HP) but "NCS-We record S/N". When I registered this laptop on my account with HP, I found that the computer no longer has a manufacturer's warranty because it was used by someone else and the warranty was in effect between September 2018 and September 2019. I also discovered that the 60 day anti virus protection it was supposed to have from McAfee had expired before I bought it. How then would Wal-Mart allow this retailer sell used electronics on Walmart.com and certify such electronics as new? One week after I received this computer it stopped booting. I am returning it. I do not use defective electronics.

I have freezing problems with this computer since I got it. HP says the warranty expired in 2020. This was obviously either used or very old. I paid $739.00 for a worthless item. Very upset.

Used this laptop a handful of times in the last 2 months. I encountered disk errors twice already that requires a hard reset. I attempted numerous times to reset and after about 5 tries, it finally reset. I’ve used it about 6 more times until I got the same error again. I’m calling manufacturer today. I have attached a picture of the error when I turn laptop on.
