I picked this up for a last-minute trip to hold some pop-up tents and chairs. I was very impressed with how easy it was to assemble and the value for the money. Using a table to elevate it while putting it together made the process even smoother. Highly recommended!
Very easy to attach and very easy to fold up out of the way when I used it on my road trip. I have a Ford Explorer and the lift gate would open and close without having to move the large”tote” I was using to protect my items from the elements.
These are really tough hitches I've owned several and the only reason I'm buying another is that I forget it's on the back of my old Bronco and back into stuff !! My wife says I need to learn how to drive. lol
Heavy duty, needed quickly for a road trip and was a great purchase. Easily able to strap down luggage and drove for 16 hours with no issues.
Love the folding feature on this luggage rack for my truck. My sound like To go camping a lot and we don't like to put a whole lot of stuff in the cab of the truck. So the extra space this luggage rat provides is amazing.
Easy to assemble and works as advertised.
This hitch carrier is right about the quality you expect for the price and frankly is really well built for the money. I installed DOT compliant reflective tape around the entire perimeter, which was a massive upgrade in terms of safety and preventing somebody else from hitting it especially at night in traffic. I did find it incredibly frustrating that the 1.5 inch hitch adapter does not fold unlike the 2 inch adapter. I feel like this was not disclosed essentially anywhere on the packaging and was borderline misleading. All that being said though otherwise it's a great piece of equipment and really cheap useful for everything from suitcases to trash bags. This photo is after 6 weeks straight of driving through the wilds of northern Canada, it held up very well even after striking probably 3 dozen rocks %26 low spots off road.
Solid build quality, decent enough instructions, but the bolt carrier lock is a weird size and not very long for the 1.25" receivers
These do the job if you really want to use it. Mine was damaged after a month of ownership and use and I am opting not to replace it. All the fittings are rather poor, and it adds a weird sway to your vehicle. It's also a pain in the but getting things in and out of any container you strap to it. Still if you want a rear hitch cargo carrier, go for it.
I bought this because it was a good price compared to other brands out there. As I started putting it together, I noticed that there were several rust spots, and the bolts had some scratches, so it almost looked like somebody had used it and returned it. Another drawback to this item is that the two wrench sizes needed to assemble it are huge and not something the typical person would have on hand. I say that as someone who has a lot of tools and regularly uses them. My neighbor, who has even more tools than I do, didn't have them to loan to me. So plan on spending at least $25 to buy the two wrenches to assemble it. I decided to return it due to the rust; it was a huge ordeal to take what I'd done apart and box it and it and bring it back to Walmart, but I was concerned that if it was already rusty out of the box, it would just get worse. I'd only recommend this if you have a 17 mm and 24 mm wrench at home and some spray paint to stop the rust.
