so far so good this handy lil affordable saw works great from around the house to camping and cutting small firewood , even comes with a handy carrying bag 1 saw blade for wood , 1 battery , 1 charger , we will see how long the battery holds up over time but for the money , not bad .

This little saw is probably one of the handiest things to own, especially now when we are all home. This saw does a little bit of everything. It cuts through big stuff and smaller stuff with ease. It has a light so you can always see what you are doing. It's nice not having to hold a flashlight and saw. I actually used this saw in my woods where I have been clearing out. It feels sturdier and works better than one I paid a lot of money for it cut right through the libs I needed cut and helped me finish up quicker

When I first received the Hyper Tough 20V Max Lithium Ion Reciprocation Saw, I put it on charge till the red light was off, and the green light was solid , and no longer flashing. I then used it on a small (aprox. 5 inch round) tree that I have been wanting to remove. It took about 20 minutes to take down, but in the mean time the Saw became hot, and stopped working. I let it cool down finished the job, then the battery died. I did expect this to happen because in the booklet, it states the battery will reach Full performance after about five charge/discharge cycles (so have patience with it). It also states to charge it for 7 hrs before using the first time, I missed that step. The reason for the overheating , and shutdown is because I tried to push it too fast, and it went down, this is a safety feature according to the booklet. This so the battery or the Saw does not get overworked on shabby battery current, and fail too soon , and need a new replacement. The battery, and charger may become warm to the touch when charging, but the instruction booklet say's this is normal. To change the blade, you need to turn a circular knob to add, and remove it, it is a little hard to do so due to it is such a small area, but it doable. If the battery does hold longer charge after several cycles then I do reccomend it for small jobs.

I was in search of a reciprocating saw that I could pack into my tool kit of my Can-Am Defender. This compact saw fits the bill perfectly. The shell is constructed of tough plastic with all of the rubber overmolded areas in the right spots. So far battery life has been very good. I have used the saw to remove a number of low hanging branches that are on the trails. These include everything from soft jack pine to hard oak. We go on many trail adventures covering hundreds of miles. The saw compliments my electric chainsaw that I keep in the rig also. It works much better on smaller branches because it is not nearly as aggressive as the chainsaw.

Hyper Tough 20V Lithium-ion Reciprocating Saw has a very powerful motor, easy blade change or removal but did not come with a blade. Safety switch on other brands are hard to use saw and operate, The Hyper Tough safety switch is comfortable and easy to use. The only thing that would make it better would be a second battery. Very handy tool to have. Well made, very sturdy, has a comfortable grip

Got this a few days ago to try out. The unit comes pre assembled. All I had to do was charge the battery overnight and put blade (provided) in. It is fairly light weight and easy to hold. I had a couple bushes to take down in back yard. So I got busy. It saws easily. I went thru some tough wood quickly. It was from 1 inch in diameter to 6 inch at the base. I knocked one down in 8 minutes, and started on the next. I got almost to the base before battery started to die out, but was very pleased with results. It would have taken me 3 to 4 times as long to do it by hand. I put the battery back in the charge position, and finished off the other bush the next morning. Now, I find my self looking for other projects. This is the first reciprocating saw I have owned. It is great!! I give this a perfect 5 stars! I am going to store tomorrow to buy so more blades. I would recommend this to anyone!

I have been wanting a battery powered reciprocating saw for some time. Thankfully, I was offered the Hyper Tough 20 volt Lithium-ion Reciprocating Saw to evaluate and give an honest opinion. Given the low price that Walmart is offering this item at, I honestly was not expecting much. After using the tool for various projects, I can honestly say that I am impressed with this little reciprocating saw. I wish I had it a few weeks ago when I had to use a rusty hand saw in the heat while installing a new mailbox. This would have zipped through the boards like a hot knife through butter. Besides being cordless, I like that this tool is on the smaller side for a reciprocating saw. It is rubber padded to reduce felt vibrations, and feels comfortable in your hands while using. It is great for quick, around the house projects! I like the bright, white LED light on the front of the tool. I like the safety button on the side of the handle that you push before engaging the trigger. The variable speed trigger is very responsive also. The harder you press in the trigger the faster the blade cuts. I appreciate the quick change blade attachment. You simply turn it about a quarter of a turn to insert and remove the blades. Only one wood cutting blade is included. The instruction manual, which is easy to understand, shows the various blades you can use with the tool. I wish a metal cutting blade had also been included, but extra blades are inexpensive to purchase. The included wood blade made quick work of tree branches around the properties. The lithium-ion battery that is included with the tool is 1.5 amp hours, 20 volts. I like the little charger that the battery uses. It has bright green and red lights that let you know the charge status. It usually takes about four hours to fully charge the battery. The battery has lasted about one hour of continuous use. I have been satisfied with the included battery. The pivoting shoe on the front of the saw keeps the tool anchored against what you are cutting. Overall, I am really impressed with this Hyper Tough reciprocating saw and am considering buying more power tools by this brand.

Wow this is really a nice saw. I didn't have any wood that needed cutting at the moment so I tried it out on a bunch of small trees and shrubs that I needed to clean up along side the house and fence. It worked like a charm. Cut right through the trees and branches with a smooth, quick clean cut. It also has a light on the front to help light up what you are cutting. First out of the box you'll need to charge up the battery and insert the included blade. Inserting the blade was very simple.There is a safety lock that you have to push and hold, then push the trigger to start the saw. The speed varies according to how far in you push the trigger. Release the trigger and the saw stops and the safety lock engages again. After a full charge the battery was ready to go so I headed on outside to do some work. I usually clean trees out with a hand saw and patiently take most of the day sawing away. But using this I was done so fast I really didn't know what to do with myself afterwards. This is a great tool and I would recommend it to anyone. This also would make a great gift even for a woman. The price is right too.

From the power of the cut....and to the quality of the cut.... This fine tool gets the job DONE ....AS WELL IT LEAVES A SMOOTH CLEAN CUT....CHARGES UP FASTLY ...AND LAST TILL THE JOB IS DONE.... UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME PRODUCT ...MAKE FOR A FINE MUST HAVE FOR THE GARAGE TOOLS... AS WELL AS A FINE GIFT....I USED THIS ON SOME BARSTOOL LEGS THAT I WANTED TO TRIM 3 INCHES OFF THE LEGS... AND EACH CUT WAS PRECISE AND CLEAN AND SMOOTH CUT ...AND MY BARSTOOLS ARE EVEN...AND IT DOES NOT SPLINTER WHILE YOU CUT AS WELL AS CHIP THE WOOD.....ITS JUST UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME.....HANDS DOWN ...THE BEST EVER

Not sure if anyone out there will truly benefit from reading my review on this (Hyper Tough 20V Max Lithium Ion Reciprocation Saw). You see, I'm definitely not a handyman however, if I needed to use this particular type of tool on a daily basis for my livelihood, I'd have to honestly say…there are much more durable products to choose from. If you're on a budget and not going to use this under extreme working conditions, it's a good product to purchase! I'd definitely recommend getting an extended warranty when you purchase too. In my backyard, there was an old shipping pallet bed that I used to test this out on before it was tossed out for trash night, and it cut through okay. Although a bit slower than what I've seen, it still worked pretty smoothly. It was a bit surprising to see that this unit comes with an LED built in work light. NICE! Some highlights:  2-year limited warranty  Overheat protection in case the tool/battery is overheated. Stops automatically  Over-discharge protection for when the battery capacity/charge is not enough. Stops automatically  Cuts wood and metal (specific blades must be used).
