This iMounTEK Portable Charcoal BBQ Grill was so convenient to carry with us when we went down to the river. We usually have to make a homemade grill with rocks and a rack that we bring. But this worked out really good. It's metal but lightweight enough (0.497 lbs) to carry all the way down there and back. It cooked our food just as good as a full sized grill. Folded up it lays flat and has handles to carry it with. Then you just unfold it into a triangular position and flip the side flaps out. Put in the small grate to put the charcoal on. Once the charcoal is good and hot just put on the cook surface grate and your ready to go. It holds enough charcoal to stay hot for a few hours. We had kids coming and going but it stayed hot and gave me plenty of time to cook hot dogs, then decided to put on some hamburgers, and then still had heat to put on some chops. The grill has vent holes on both sides to help fuel the fire. It didn't take too long to cool down when we were done. Then I just dumped out the charcoal ashes and folded it back up. When the grill was still hot we needed to move it so we slid a long stick through the handles and picked it up with the stick. That worked really slick. It didn't come with any kind of case so I put it into a garbage bag tell we got it home to completely clean it up. You can store the charcoal grate inside the grill but the cook surface grate is too big to fit inside. There isn't a way to store them together so I used a large twist tie through the handles and hooked it onto the cooking grate to hold them together. The inside of the grill withstood the flames and heat really well. The paint on the outside did peel off in one spot from some flames that shot out through the handle, but to us that isn't a big deal. Folded up the grill is 18 long by 17.5 wide by 1 inch thick. Unfolded it's 17 long by 11 wide by 14.5 inches high. The charcoal grate is 5 by 16.5 inches. And the chrome plated cooking surface grate is 17 long by 10 inches wide. Plenty of room for a large package of hot dogs and a few burgers.

I received my iMounTEK Portable Charcoal BBQ Grill. Assembling this grill is a breeze and only takes seconds. I love how it folds up flat and can be stored anywhere. There are holes on each side to have air flows for quick charcoal heating. You could keep it in your truck or even car and have it ready for use. It really does not leave a big print. It has a grill to put the charcoal on and then the top grill is for food. Even though it is small it can accommodate a lot of food. It will hold whole pack of hot dogs AND some burgers or buns. I cooked some pork shops on it and they were quick and easy and yummy! This is great for camps, picnics, and fishing trips. It is also handy for you patio if you don't want to fire up the big grill for a quick cooking. It is easy to clean up and cools quickly to store. The design is cool and it really is neat to use on the go! I go to a park that has grills but they are usually pretty nasty. It is nice to have my own clean grill! LOVE this grill! This grill has me to excited for the summer! It is going to make trips to the breach, park and even camping such a breeze! We had a small grill before that was such a pain to put together, clean and carry. This grill is so compact and sleek its going to make for endless hours of summer fun! We plan on going to the beach this weekend and instead of having boring turkey sandwiches we will bring this bad boy and have some hot and ready burgers and hotdogs! When you pull it out of the box it is folded in a sleek and compact shape that you can easily carry anywhere with the built in handle. Its very lightweight and easy to use. No assembly required you can use it straight out of the box. The cooking surface can easily removed to and fits inside when folded up for storage. I would say this is the perfect portable summer grill. Getting this was the perfect way to kick off summer. I definitely recommend!

This grill is absolutely amazing and so incredibly useful! We do a lot of camping for Boy Scouts and having to lug a grill or fire pit everywhere can be soooooooo inconvenient. This grill folds up and can be slipped anywhere to be stored or transported. Folded up it is less than 1.5” wide!!!!!! The grilling surface is 17” x 10”, so this is perfect for a small family. It will cook 4 regular burgers or around 12 hotdogs. I love that this grill is so convenient to take and use. You know what has been on your grill and how clean it is!!!:). This is NOT a heavy duty grill. It is PERFECT for small cookouts at the beach or camping. My husband loved using this grill instead of setting up his big outdoor grill in our backyard for our hotdogs the other day. He was able to set the grill up on our glass table and cook the dogs. If you are going to set it up on the ground you need to make sure there is nothing flammable underneath the grill. There is a small opening at the bottom where embers and ash fall out of while you cook. Clean up is a breeze once the grill has cooled down. We love the grill. It absolutely does the job. If we were going to grill large quantities of food we would use a larger grill. The price is absolutely awesome.

excellent-easy to use -not expensive

Wow whe I opened the box ,pulled out the iMounTEK Portable Charcoal BBQ Grill I was amazed how easy and light weight it is to carry. The iMounTEK Portable Charcoal BBQ Grill is an awesome way to cook up hamburgers and hit dogs or anything really that you would cook on a big bbq. I was impressed on how sturdy it is. It not easy to tip. You are going to be really impressed with the iMounTEK Portable Charcoal BBQ Grill. I know I am really impressed. I cant wait to get out and use it some more.

I recieved this item for my complete honest rating and review. My package arrived with no damage. I recieved 1 New Home portable charcoal bbq grill. The gill has stable triangle support, 3 mm in diameter cooking bars and a 17" x 10" chrome played cooking surface. This grill was easy to assemble and use. We had a small family park bbq, and was happy with the look, convenience and function of this grill. The clean up process was also easy once it cooled. I was happy with grill and do reccomend you buy it for small bbq's at the park. I rate it 4 out of 5.

I really like the iMounTEK Portable Charcoal BBQ Grill. This portable grill measures 17.52 x 18.31 x 1.57 Inches. The size of the cooking area is 17”× 10” (L×W), the charcoal surface area is 5” × 16.5” (L×W). Folded the grill is 18.1”× 17.5”×1.2” (L×W×H) and its weight is 5.32 lbs. This little grill folds up neat and flat and stores easily behind a truck seat, in between small spaces, under seats or even in a truck toolbox. This little grill is perfect for taking camping, tail gating, on wagon trains, hiking, picnics, and for having a small meal cooked out at home. We used this tiny grill for hot dogs and for roasting marshmallows. It folds out easily by opening the grill and folding out the two smaller tabs on the sides. These tabs help keep your grill open. the charcoal grate fits neatly in the bottom and the grill rack sits on a small ledge. This grill cools quickly after dumping the coals and is quite easy to clean. I used a bit of oil on the rack so nothing would stick to the grill. After we were finished, I then washed it in the sink to get it clean. The metal on this grill is quite thin so I am cautious about it's longevity but so far it has held up nicely. It's perfect for smaller, quicker meals but I don't think it would handle things like steaks or ribs or pork chops. I've only done simple things. It does not have a lid which can make cooking take longer for different foods but for the hot dogs and roasting marshmallows, it worked great. Overall, I am pleased with this little grill and will be taking it camping with us. I will also use it for when we want grilled hot dogs instead of pulling out the much larger grill. One thing I believe would be beneficial is for this grill to have a carrying case. The reason is the larger rack will not fit into the grill while folded so it's not all stored or carried together neatly.

The idea for a portable grill is GREAT, just open it ! However, they need to do better with the rack. I have never had a grill, portable or other, where a 80/20 hamburger sticks to it. I even put oil on my chicken and fish and same thing! I guess you need to spray the rack AND oil your meat, even the burgers. Otherwise, cool idea.

Very simple set up. This grill folds completely flat and takes up very little space. Makes a good addition to a small back patio in my town home. Immediately, I noticed one of the fold out support flaps is a little warped. It doesn't stay extended to support the grill, but the other side does so it doesn't appear to hinder the functionality too much. I've attached a photo for show. Seems to be cheaply made. From a performance standpoint, this grill is quick and efficient. This size is Perfect for one person. You only need a little charcoal and cleanup is easy. Now the bad part... after ONE use, this grill almost melted. The sides have warped and it looks like the paint melted or rusted off? I honestly don't think this grill will last past a another use... I like the way it performs, but if it falls apart after one use, I do not recommend this at all.
