I had wanted this pot for so long and I finally got it …. It's smooth lightweight but does the heavy duty cooking I roast beef stew chicken fry just about anything in it…there's a set of 3 in different sizes which I am going to get soon plus there's another set of 2 with glass cover which I am going to get also oh yes I want it all it actually cooks good food and gives it a unique taste🥰
I love IMUSA's brand. I personally owned a few of them and loved them. This one is no different.. - It's Huge (27qt) perfect for cooking for parties or big gatherings - Great quality - Lid fit perfectly - 100 % Recommend This is an out of the box review if anything changes I will update this review but so far I haven't had any issues with IMUSAS products.
I use this pot every day , it cooks rice uniformed and I can cook soup too. There are affordable and durable , a life time. My grand parents used similar pots back in my country. I like it a lot. I bought this item as a gift for my nephews' wife; however, I own my set which I bought from Walmart 5 years ago.
Have used one of the pots for month meal planning and large family gatherings. Video is of second usage making a cultural dish of fried okra with animal protein. Walmart was the seller with excellent pricing. Waited almost a year for item to be restocked.
The pot is great for many types of hot casseroles, large stew, soup, rice and beans and more but sav-a-lot has the identical caldero for $17 in stock on the shelf. No shipping hassles and stories that it didn't ship on time, shipping company lost it or destroyed it etc.
Once we sanded down all the sharp edges on the bottom of the pot we were able to use it on the electric stove with caution not to make more scratches on the electric stove top that the other set of 3 pots caldero pots as shown in the picture we first bought at Walmart that had a lot of very rough bottom which made deap scratches on the electric stove. Besides the above issue the pot sealed and cooked the rice very well. I only recommend these pots to be used on gas stoves unless you sand down the bottom of the pot. I recommend this pot highly not the set of 3 pots that has a lot of sharp edges even on the handle and lid.
The pot was great, the lid was damaged could possible be during shipment because the shipping box was flimsy and was not padded for protection of the item in it. I would need to request for a new lid for the pot
When i put the pot on the burner the pot buckled on the one side and then the lid no longer fit correctly. It almost no longer fits at all. Now i can’t use the pot anymore because the lid fitting is very important when cooking rice which is what i bought the pot for.
i ordered this online and when it arrived the pot was dented and the lid was bent and did not fit. so i called and had it replaced and the 2nd one i picked up at walmart was dented in 2 places and the lid knob was broke and the lid also did not fit again. i don't know if its walmart or the manufacturer but you would think someone would have noticed the defects.
It was so poorly made that the lid would not fit on the pot. It was not even a real circle. The worst part is is that the pot itself was not smooth. It was rough and when I tried to clean it, I saw a little metal flakes on the paper towel. I would never recommend this brand or this product.
