I have several Inkbird products (temperature controllers for beer brewing, humidity controller for sausage making and BBQ temp probes) and none have let me down. This one caught my attention because we keep our pool covered and it's a pain to open just to check the temperature. I popped in the batteries for the receiver and then the floating probe and they instantly synced up. I put the floater in the pool and closed it back up. After a minute or so the temperature reading steadied out. The 300 ft. they advertise is probably optimistic (line of site, no obstructions maybe?), but I'm able to keep the receiver inside the house and still stay in contact with the sender under the cover. That's what I needed. Unit seems well built, time will tell.
