I bought this sight unseen for a two year old boy, he loves it and after several months he still runs it. Sturdy build.
I bought this for my grandson's first birthday. He enjoys it so much! He pushes it by hand when turned off and chases after it when turned on. I didn't even notice when I bought it everything it does when you put the batteries in so that was a bonus surprise!
Rolls around on hard surfaces (gets stuck on carpet), changes direction every so often especially when it bumps into things, with lights and siren sound. No small parts that may break off as a choking hazard. There is a removable guard beneath the truck for regular push play. If you are sensitive to sound DO NOT purchase. The siren is loud with no way of lowering the volume. We tried placing translucent tape to mask the sound with no help. Only way to stop the sound is the on/off switch. Takes several AA batteries with a screwed on battery compartment.
A nice toy although a little smaller then I expected. (I didn't check the measurements. )
My grandson is autistic but, he was thrilled with the firetruck. He played with it quite a bit in longer than he usually plays with any one toy and got very upset if anyone tried to get it.
Cute truck. Was purchased as a gift. Was wrapped in bubble wrap when it arrived. No separate box. Runs good on wood or tile floor, doesn't work on carpet. Lights and sirens worked just fine. On this one, the left side had small spots where paint was missing almost like someone had played with it and it had hit a hard surface or it wasn't painted properly. Side panel was loose. A small screw fell out of the inside, probably the one to hold side panel on. Some glue fixed the loose panel.
I bought this for my 4 year old, and tonight I went to wrap it and literally all of the stickers had fallen off. I superglued them back on, and then I noticed the that gauge stickers underneath the control panel buttons don't line up to the holes at all. You can only see half of all 6. The lights are hardly attached. It's just junk. If my local store will take it back it's getting returned ASAP!!
This does not even deserve one star as it went into the trash about an hour after it was opened. To begin with, it did not move/ work properly. It did not move at all. There is one switch on the bottom to turn it either on or off and while it is on it is loud and very annoying. There are no buttons to push or doors to open. However, there is a very flimsy, plastic, charcoal color, square piece on the top (see it?) that my 3 year old pulled off in two seconds which also exposed all of the wiring inside the toy. Also, for the DOLLAR STORE TOY that you are PAYING 20 BUCKS for, THERE ARE NO BATTERIES! What a waste of money
COMPLETE JUNK!!! Don't waste your money even on sale. Where do I even begin. The design of it was Clearly not done by a parent. The buttons on the side of the truck and do nothing, you can't even push them at all. The volume on this thing is ridiculously loud, and it doesn't shut off after a certain amount of time. You literally have to shut it off or it'll go on forever. I would return it if my son wasn't obsessed with firetrucks! It literally cracked the first day I gave it to him.
This was bought for a 1 yr old early birthday present. When it came it wasn't even in an actual box itself, it was just in a layer of bubble wrap. The buttons are fake
