Kidde Battery Operated Wireless Combination Carbon Monoxide & Smoke Detector with Voice Alert

I just bought a new-to-me home. These smoke/carbon monoxide detectors aren't the latest technology from Kidde, but they have all the bells and whistles I want - and which cannot be found in Kidde's updated models. I had these same ones in my old place and they're great because 1) they're battery-operated, 2) they detect smoke AND carbon monoxide, 3) they have a voice alert, and 4) they're interconnected - when one goes off, they all go off. You can not get all 4 of these things in the same unit from Kidde's latest offerings. If you want a voice alert AND interconnected, you have to buy the newest hardwired units. So, I was very glad to find the older ones still out there. One thing of note: the product description says this is a pack of 2, but it is only 1. So, the price is a little high for older technology for only one unit, but Walmart made it right for me after I received only half of what I was expecting. In the end, I got what I wanted at the price I wanted.

Bought as a replacement for an older model Kidde which had reached the end of its life. Price was right and the combination of smoke as well as CO detection made this purchase a no-brainer.

Have three of these and needed a fourth. They communicate with each other so it's a great feature.

The product is good, but the discription says it is a package of 2. Only one was received!
