Kidde Nighthawk Plug-In AC/DC Carbon Monoxide Alarm Detector with Digital Display KN-COPP-3

I found out how ignorant I have become again. Tending to think of these meeters as non-exhaustable. I was WRONG! I learned these carbon monoxide detectors do expire. Essential for my life style, I must have a reliable product. I replaced two of these alarms. My worries are now assauged. I certainly sleep better each night. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended. These are lifesaving devices which we should be tenacious about expiration dates as we are for a carton of milk.

I worry a lot about CO poisoning with my family as we have gas heat, hot water and oven, along with fireplaces. I would never buy a detector without the digital readout again. It's good peace of mind since it can show you elevated CO levels well before they get to problematic levels and before they reach sustained levels that would cause other detectors to start alerting.

These are simple to use. I like the numeric display. We had a generator installed, so it is reassuring to see the zero on the monitor. We have plugged them into wall outlets. They are large, but I plug them into the bottom outlets and can still use the top if needed.

Thus model replaces a Kidde that had reached its service limit. Unusual in my life experience, this one seems to be of higher quality than the previous one, even though the previous one seemed well made. The Kiddes have always been made of heavy duty parts, which is why I favor them. You want them to serve for their full service limit.

This is a great Co2 detector. They last for 10 years from date of first use so I am replacing my old unit that just expired, with an identical new unit. The permanent bright display is always visible and east to read. Very reliable unit that every home should have. Can be installed in 5 minutes and easy to test monthly.

The product does exactly as was described. There's a piece of mind we have knowing that our family can be alerted to the potential threat of noxious gases in our home. We trust the Kiddie line of products for the dependability they provide.

It's actually my first time purchasing a carbon monoxide detector. I checked other places for this particular one. I could only find it at Walmart. I read the reviews first.

Fantastic product. For me the more dense texture makes this top notch in my book. Other breads seem too airy.

Upon arriving home after pickup, I opened the box (which already looked tampered with) to find the 9v battery missing. Went to plug in the alarm to find out it will flash lb (low battery) and continuously beep unless you have the battery installed. The box and instructions state “battery included”. Disappointing.

THE ITEM ARRIVED IN A USED PLASTIC BAG(IT WAS CLOUDY)- THERE WAS NO BOX,NO INSTRUCTIONS, AND NO BATTERY. I HAD ORDERED 1 PRIOR TO THIS AND IT CAME IN A BOX WITH INSTRUCTIONS, AND A 9V BATTERY. THIS LAST ONE MUST HAVE BEEN USED AND RETURNED. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH MY FIRST ORDER OF THE CO MONITOR , SO ORDERED A SECOND ONE. THIS ONE WORKS FINE JUST VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HOW IT WAS SHIPPED
