King Kooker "claimed" to be Preseasoned. It IS ! I gave away all of my very old and seasoned cast iron when we purchased our glass top stove. For the past 4 years I have tried the stainless steel, the Green skillet, all of them. I decided to go back to cast iron as I am southern and fry Everything. I haunted yard sales, church sales, flea markets etc. All in vain for a "Preseasoned" cast iron skillet. I chose "King Kooker" for the claim of preseasoned. I chose Walmart for this item because of the lesser price and free shipping. The skillet is a blessing, the service was simple, easy at pick up and received way quicker than I thought would be. Thank you
This iron skillet is heavy and I like it that way, I am so tired of Teflon coated pans that last maybe 2 years, this iron skillet will last almost a lifetime and it is pre seasoned, ready to start cooking, steaks, hamburger, anything that you cook in this iron skillet will B so much superior, just remember never use harsh or any dish soap on these and cleaning is easy, I always after cleaning put maybe a tablespoon of oil in the pan and wipe the inside for my next use, I guarantee you will fall in love with this product and don't forget you can put it in the oven to make your corn bread and cake mixes anything you want to bake use this in the oven.
Long overdue to replace my old coated aluminum frying pan, so decided to look into a classic cast iron skillet. Some run well over $100 but kept searching and the price looked right on this one. Made the purchase. It arrived quickly exactly as advertised. A perfect 12" iron skillet. Can't imagine any reason to pay more.
I kind of regret not cooking with Iron Skillets before! after that being said my non-stick cookware has started collecting dust haha... The skillet is a bit heavy but it exceeds all expectations when cooking plus if you wash it & season it after it keeps looking good as new! BEST PURCHASE ever so far!
Nice cast iron pan. I just gave it a wash and put it to work. The quality of the pan I received was very good.
Have only used it once, but it made some great cornbread.
Cook evenly and very good! No sticking.
We are used to cooking with cast iron, and these are great for frying or even making corn bread. This one is heavier than I thought it would be and deeper than one I had before (one that walked out of the house!). It will be good for roasting in too I think. Probably not for the daily eggs though, too heavy and slightly textured inside.
This was a gift for my daughter. She loves it and another great plus is that it comes preseasoned. I will be looking for other sizes .
Advertised as preseason, but not truly the case. A great pan for the price though and seasoning is easy with the company's instructions enclosed
