(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Very happy with this grinder. Quieter than my old one and has handy settings that make it very easy to use.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) So far it's making great coffee. A bit confusing cup measurements on water tank don't match the ones on the carafe. A bit bulky in size on the counter.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Makes a great alarm clock when the auto brew is set
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Works really well, easy to clean, easy to fill water with detachable tank!
Never never never use paper filters from the store in this product. ALWAYS use the mess basket filter.that comes with the product. I've had trouble with the paper filters in previous versions of this product overflowing and creates a gosh awful mess the least of which is coffee grounds in your coffee.. I bought a new one because I was having repeated trouble with the old one overflowing but the first pot of coffee I made in the new one using a paper filter overflowed. Three ways a cup of coffee will wake you up. One is the great flavor of a cup of coffee; the second is having to clean up the darn mess from the overflow; and the third the third is getting a mouthful of grounds from an overflow. Initially I saw this as a design flaw of the coffeemaker but I was wrong. Ever since I started using the mesh filter I've had zero problems. The mesh filter also has indicator of how many teaspoons you've loaded. I would definitely buy another Kitchenaid. It makes a hot cup of coffee. Run vinegar and water mixtures through it periodically as recommended by the manufacturer. It starts taking more than 8-10 minutes to make a pot it needs cleaning.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We looked for a long time before we found this coffee pot and we're glad we took the extra time to research it. It is as close to perfect in design as they come. The water tank is very easy to remove & reinstall for filling. The fit is excellent as it slides back in place easily with a tight seal. The digital display is simplistic and easy to use. The feature of activation from t he front also for the brew/cancel cycle is great. Setting the automatic on cycle is easy compared to most other models we checked. The only issue that could be addressed is water leaks from the filter area top when opened to remove and discard the filter. We've adapted to having paper towels on hand to deal with this. A minor issue but perhaps the research people could look into this. Other than that, this is the first coffee maker that has impressed us to this level. Thanks Kitchen Aid and we don't hesitate to recommend this to everyone.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) got this about a month ago, love the features on this maker, the spiral head design works great to brew a great pot of coffee. The easy set clock and display on the side is a great change from other makers. Only issue is the basket lid, it is hollow in design due to the lid having a screw in interior cover for the spiral head to slide in, thus steam collects into water so when you lift it after brewing the water drips out, sometimes into the basket, sometimes over the side of the maker and or collects on top by hinge or all three. This design could be improved to an in closed track instead of an open 3/8ths inch gap. Another great feature is the two button turn on as in the morning you can come out and don't have to look, just press the one on the front bottom as it is the only thing there, no looking or thinking! Nice. The detachable water resevior is great too with a wide lid so you can fill it by either pouring in or taking to the tap, no spills and big target. We also like that you can use cone filters as I don't like cleaning the permanent filters, although nice to have incase run out.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We had trouble with the tank draining and leaking onto the counter and subsequently down to our ceiling in the basement. KitchenAid service was going to send out a new tank for us but we haven't received it yet. It works good and makes good coffee, we just don't trust filling the tank overnight anymore.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am disappointed with this purchase. The coffee will only stay hot for a 2-hour period and the machine cannot be programmed to extend that time , so if like me, you like to drink coffee over an extended period, you either have to nuke it or drink it cold. As well, the volume measurement on the carafe doesn't match the measurement on the water container. Finally, after the coffee is brewed, a significant amount of water pools on the rim of the apparatus where you insert the coffee filter and has to be mopped up.
Every time we have brewed coffee we'd had issues. 1) the grinds explode our of the filter 2) the machine appears to be done brewing and when we remove the carafe it releases coffee everywhere I want to like this machine bc it's sleek design but regretting this purchase.
