When I need a quick salsa, this is one of the ingredients that I use, so I tried to keep this in my pantry, always.
The popper itself is great. I didn't care for the popcorn after popped because it was too dry. I put salt on it and it all went to the bottom. You say use butter but no thank you I don't care for the mess.
Convenient to have when you can't get fresh.
Needed to make salsa and there were no tomatillos in the produce section. Thought I'd give these a try and they were perfect!
These make wonderful authentic Mexico City Salsa de Tomate Verde Cruda (Mexican green tomato sauce). 1 1/4 Cups. That yummy tartness is there!!
Don't order this shipped. HALF of the cans arrived severely dented. Cannot get it locally so puts me in a bind. Buy local to check cans yourself and it is a very good product.
Thursday cans are dented As a restaurant the county food health department throes these cans out
When I found these in a can, I thought great I can make salsa your rounds. So I quickly grab two cans to try them out. I roasted them in the oven like I normally do the fresh ones and puréed them all up like I'm making salsa. Without 1 ounce of added seasoning, it was so salty I had to throw it out! I'm not sensitive to salt, these were simply way too much salt added to them.
It came in, damaged, leaking all over the package
It says pickled green tomatoes but they are not pickled. Just packed in water.
