La Costena Refried Pinto Beans, 20.5 oz (Pack of 12)

I have a love/hate relationship with canned refried beans. Another popular brand has a weird spice taste I can't quite put my finger on and virtually 100% of the canned beans I've tried have been grainy. I've hated the texture. BUT THESE BEANS ARE AMAZING. They're absolutely the best brand I've ever had. They're creamy and wonderful with no weird spice taste. All I did was what one previous reviewer suggested and that was to add a little white wine and some cheese. These are so smooth and "splooshy" with a flavor that's just right. The texture is so nice. I'll buy them forever. If you hate canned refried beans for the same reasons I did, TRY THESE BEANS!

Growing up in Tucson with its vast array of truly wonderful Mexican restaurants spoiled me. And, having my Mom making genuine Mexican food right there for us every day? Well, we didn't know how lucky we were. I moved away from there to Boston, MA ten years ago. And, suffered from not locating anywhere in the Bay state, good Mexican food. Especially my beans! I fell across La Costena last year at another higher end food store and fell in love wiih the quality of the refried beans. The closest I've ever come to in enjoying beans "out of a can." As I tell my friends, unless someone told you? You would think that "mama" made them. To make a story a little shorter the other fine food store quit carrying La Costena Refried Beans. I despaired of ever eating good beans again....until one morning, desperate, I searched and searched online. When I discovered that Walmart carried this line of great Mexican food product I could hardly contain myself. Do yourself a favor...buy some good tortillas, heat some La Costena Refried Pinto beans, in a skillet with a little white wine, mix a little cheese into the beans, and enjoy some of the best bean burritos you'll ever have.

Customer Service is great at Walmart, half of the Canned lot had dents and Refund was issued right away. Thank You very much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably my favorite brand of canned refritos. Great taste with a hint of kick. So much better than big name American ones.

Every single can (12) I received was dented. Some quite badly.

They came wrapped in plastic but all the cans in the center where all dented. None of the ones you coukd see from outside were dented which means they were intentionally packaging the dented cans. Ridiculous

Good beans but you cant eat them ordered serval cases almost every can dented Unusable.

I ordered this item twice. In the first shipment, all of the cans were dented so badly that they were dangerous. The 2nd shipment 9 0ut of 12 cans were severely dented. The time to arrive was like really delayed.
