One AA battery for >one year of operation, up to 3 AA batteries for >5 years of operation. Large black digits on a very white back round, easy to read at a distance. I can not hear it ticking so silent in quiet rooms. This clock sets itself to WWV for >one second accuracy. I'm a fan of analog clocks and this one is a keeper. I'm on the look out for a 14" one just like this one. You want an accurate analog clock to put a couple batteries in and forget this is for you
It is new but so far it works perfect. The shape and color are more for an office setting. Supposedly, with 3 batteries it will keep time for 5 years. It is pretty simple, put in the batteries, choose the time zone, put it on the wall and the clock takes care of the rest.
Nice looking clock. Keeps perfect time. Goes with almost all Decor.
Good experience so far. Nice to have an atomic clock for accuracy.
The atomic clock exceeded my expectations. It is very attractive. I was able to set it according to the directions. It is working perfectly.
This clock is just what I was looking for. It is easy to self set and is keeping perfect time. I would recommend this clock to anybody.
I have purchased three of type of clock. two of them are working perfectly, one went bad after a year and a half. they have a simple setup. one switch tells the clock if it should apply daylight savings time or not depending on the state you're in. the second switch is the time zone that you live in. you can set the time manually if you choose. me I set for central time DST on, install the battery, hanging on the wall, and within a few minutes it starts to set itself. the first model I bought held One battery and was good for almost a year, the new model that I bought holds three batteries and claims to one up to that's the magic word up to 5 years without having to change the batteries. I have no idea how long it will actually last on one set of three batteries because I only bought it within the last two months and I hardly feel like waiting 5 years to write this review the battery life is manufacturers claim only. it is actually made of plastic but unless you study it carefully it looks like wood grain it is a nice looking clock I have one in my living room the second and the bathroom. they look good in both rooms. so overall I do recommend this clock in spite of the one going bad.
We bought three of these for a small Family History (education) center. Because of where they are placed you can always see a couple of them at the same time. One of the clocks came with the second hand offset from 12 noon by a few seconds (like 12:00:05). It consistently resets to that time, while the others always reset to exactly 12 noon. So after they set themselves (which they all do), there is a few second offset between the one clock and the other two. I get periodic questions/feedback about which clock is right. I mean, it's only a few seconds, but it could have been avoided if the QA on these clocks had been done correctly before shipping. I just explain to people that it's only one clock, and it's only a few seconds, and it's still better than the alternative, and that's life. I've looked for a procedure to re-align the second hand but not found one. If I could reliably do that without destroying the clock, I would. Otherwise, we're happy with the styling, the consistency in performance. And they arrived here when they said they would!
Simple to set up. Automatically sets the time in less than 5 min. Time is exact to the second. The sound of the second hand is a little bit loud when the room is silent.
Clock stopped working after a few weeks. Battery was intact but clock did not keep time. Faulty merchandise. Misplaced receipt; would like to return for a refund.
